TLOAS spending more weeks at #1 than most MPG's entire careers

A record breaking first week and real longevity. Not everyone has that. Some don't even have one of those things.

Now that's it's clear that Taylor hasn't lost an ounce of her commercial power the narrative is having to shift back to, "Arts not charts, we don't care about numbers!"

Meanwhile Monsters are CREAMING themselves at the commercial performance of a song that didn't break into the American top 10 and charted fewer weeks on the Global 200 than Karma and an album that has over half its units coming from a single song that was emergency added after the actual lead single flopped. Even with the biggest hit of the century included, the album is now charting below folklore (2020) and was passed in total global units by TLOAS in ~3 weeks.

Pretty clear y'all care about numbers! I wish you could savor even 1/5 of Taylor's commercial domination. 9 weeks at number one is just another week for the biggest artist of all time <3.

Mayhem was 19 on its 10th week, btw. And before anyone tries it, this is a fight y'all picked and started. I have no idea why any Monsters wanted to compare Lady Gaga to Taylor Swift when she's still catching up to Beyonce, Adele, and Rihanna, but here we are. Maybe stick to your boat mates.

She lost to Adele so now they're coming for Gaga's US stats because they can't come for her international peak since The Fame remains bigger than TLOAS or anything Taylor has ever released.

The tea is I love Gaga too and would consider her my number 2 and the only other artist I truly stan! But some of the Monsters on here have just been the absolute worst since the Showgirl release. Before that, I felt very little animosity between the two bases. Wbk that Gaga and Taylor like and respect one another.

Ofc all fanbases have bad eggs, but I think Monster hostility/circle jerking/and picking fights with everyone is just so next level that it makes it hard for many users to love and celebrate Gaga on this website even though we do IRL.

Not to mention, Gagamania happened in 2025, yet for some reason Gaga is missing from the Billboard YE Top 10 artists
