Pop Vocal Album, Dance Recording and ROTY if we're lucky would be MORE than amazing.

The final round voting hasn't started yet, it starts tomorrow. Let's chill a bit before dragging. Her campaign has been pretty flawless all year round.

Surprise 'Vanish Into You' Music Video tommorow.

Killah has to be the most acclaimed deep cut at this point

It's made a decent amount of mid-year and year-end lists

we need another one of these

Was thinking about this the other day. This video should have been released this year paired with her RS cover instead of last. Would have worked nicely as part of the campaign for Disease's chances in Pop Solo as well as Mayhem in AOTY. This deserved more attention. noparty

I'd be pretty satisfied with a ROTY win for Abracadabra. Out of GF seems like the most likely, but I just want her to get one, with a preference for AOTY of course.

If she doesn't get BPVA and Pop/Eletronic +1 GF at least heads will roll.

ROTY usually goes to a big hit while SOTY not always lately

I only care about AOTY ; ROTY or any other award would feel like a consolation prize.

Now whom we SHOULD be preparing to lash is her lethargic ass label. They need to issue a discography-wide mass certifications RIAA update like Sabrina just did.

This is true. It's been 5 years jfc.

Yeah her getting her first GF would be huge regardless. Especially for a solo pop hit.

I really don't care about SOTY or ROTY, but that would be better than nothing, I guess!

So far things are working more on her favour than her competitors sans Bad Bunny. Sabrina is not making that much of a splash on "best of" year end lists although shes campaigning hard, GNX is a 2024 album that was huge in 2025 yes but theres high risk it suffers from vote splitting possibility in AOTY. I dont think right now Gaga needed to be doing something to boost her chances but I certaintly think she needs that final punch before voting ends.

The acclaim for Gaga right now specially Abra is more than I was expecting tbh.

Honestly Abra making to ROTY and SOTY shows theres HUGE love for it. Her only upbeat pop song that managed this was Poker Face, Bad Romance didn't, nor Born This Way (though the submissions fumbled her bag back then but still).

Why is How Bad not in any year end lists? That is the real mystery. Had a certain showgirl released this song instead it would be plastered.

We have to remember that in ROTY, Abracadabra is splitting amongst 4 other pop songs (Manchild, Wildflower, The Subway, Apt.) Luther only has Anxiety as another rap song. Luther is the textbook definition of ROTY: biggest hit of the year and well received. Abracadabra is probably #2.

SOTY there's still a big pop split, just with Golden instead of The Subway. Abracadabra is not really what they go for when it comes to SOTY because other noms have more to say lyrically, but it is a more wide open category & Luther isn't a lock in the same way it is for ROTY here, so who knows.

AOTY we know it's a three way race between Kendrick, Bad Bunny & Gaga. Two other rap albums will impact Kendrick, but he still has his overdue narrative & tons of support across genres. Bad Bunny has a lot of passion from his niche, but will it be enough?

MAYHEM is the best pop contender, which automatically makes it a notch above the others. But right now it's underperforming on year-end lists (#32). All the recent AOTY placed at least Top 20; even Harry was #18 and he's the lowest.

So basically, she's a solid contender in all 3 categories but not really the #1 in any. We shouldn't get our hopes up at all.

It did show up in one, but I can't remember which

It was Spotify I think or Billboard

I fear I'd be opening a can of worms with a subset of the base if I pointed out that Garden of Eden is N/A on any of these lists

It has no reason to when Abra is obviously going to be the default pick for a dance-pop banger from the album, if critics want to highlight another song it makes sense they go for something that showcases another side of Mayhem like PC and Killah.

I agree. That's one of the strongest reasons why I think it has a shot at ROTY. They nominated it in both categories and it's getting a lot of acclaim.

why ga ga's stupid team didn't make a big deal outta of GaGacabana ? biblio certain girl's marketing and PR team wetting their pants thinking about all the paid articles they would spam

It seems like the industry (through YE lists) is pushing DtMF for AOTY and Abracadabra for ROTY (I know RS just said that Abra should win SOTY but Luther seems like a lock + it's not the type of song that would win SOTY imo). Here's where I'm at for each of the three GF categories that Gaga is competing in:

AOTY

AOTY

I think Gaga is top two here (Bad Bunny's the frontrunner, Kendrick's #3 due to genre votesplitting, and Sabrina's #4). In terms of votings blocs alone, Gaga has an advantage: pop is the biggest (and they've proven they love her), jazz is the 2nd biggest, rock is the 4th biggest, and while Dance/Electronic is one of the smallest, I think that most of their support would go towards Gaga which would could help in a close race. But voting blocs alone don't mean everything. Bad Bunny's high placement on YE lists shows broad industry support and since he'll be going into this year's Grammys doing the SBHT show soon after, his profile will be really high. I do think this is the closest Gaga has been to winning AOTY, but BB is still the front runner.

ROTY

ROTY

If Abra were to win in the GF, I think it would be here. For one, the industry seems to be pushing it more than Mayhem as a whole body of work (which is still getting its fair share of attention). Gaga's most iconic and acclaimed moments this year are tied to Abracadabra specifically. Debuting the single and music video at the Grammys itself may also have some sway, though probably not a lot.

Now it is by no means guaranteed, and Abra has an uphill battle here. It is vote splitting with four other pop songs (The Subway, Manchild, Apt, and Wildflower). Many of those artists are Grammy darlings (Bruno and Billie specifically). ROTY also usually goes to songs that peaked at #1 (10 of the last 16 winners did, and the rest peaked top 10). But there are precedents for Gaga pulling an upset here.

  • Every single song bar three that has won the Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy peaked at #1. Two of the outliers peaked at #2 (Thinking Out Loud) and #3 (Espresso) respectively. And then you have Joanne which didn't even chart skull skull

  • Billie Eilish won ROTY for Everything I Wanted during a year where she was votesplitting with Don't Start Now and Say So (with the latter two being bigger hits). So vote splitting and other pop songs being more commercially successful isn't impossible to overcome.

Now Gaga doesn't have Billie's track record in the GF obviously (and the fact that Billie herself is in this category maybe makes this all pointless skull). But I'm saying that Gaga has upset established Grammy prescedent before. So it's not impossible for that to happen here. Abracadabra being so high up on so many YE lists (and being #1 on the AOTY aggregate) has given her great visibility going into voting. I'm not saying it's locked by any stretch, but I think Abra's chances here are decent.

I don't think SOTY is happening at all. That one's going to Luther.
