Obviously I don't actually care, she's gonna make what she wants to and I'm gonna love every second of it. But I kinda wanted to point out that Abra not entering Spotify isn't really a Gaga issue and it has nothing to do with her age, it's just the state of music right now and this kind of music isn't doing as well and tbh I would really love some chill bops, I do feel she's always on 100 and I'd like to see her step out of that and maybe give us something so far from what she usually does.

Why not? She's always trying new genres, also if she is playing around with synths and we have MAYHEM Requiem coming it's really not far fetched. If we're being honest Perfect Illusion should have stayed the chill bop Tame Impala intended it to be

I don't want Gaga to shy away from maximalist, loud, abrasive music. But I doubt that's gonna be the case for the entirety of LG8, and they should, in fact, be more careful with the selection of singles. Abracadabra was always the perfect single from Mayhem, though. Disease is a bit puzzling, even if I love the song.

Grammys (music premiere), SNL, Coachella, Tulum, VMA and Grammys again. It already got the maximum exposure it can get.

The other songs are either upcoming, current streaming monsters, or haven't been performed in a while.

Mayhem is excellent, however I get the vibe she could take everything even further. I think now is the time in her career where she can afford to do that. That said, I feel conflicted. She's great at meeting that intersection between palatable, catchy pop, and something a bit alternative. Its rare to find an artist that can do that, even now, so I get why some might have hesitance on her going fully in with a different sound than were used to. I think the best case of her love of industrial stuff, and catchy melodies is a modernized Siouxsie Sioux, Garbage, or even some trip hop inspo. Ex, these bops:

Basically do a Joanne again, but make it c*nt, and work with Reznor, along with Gesa, Cirkut, Watt (would be cool if Gesa can bring Justice in too). Rock with modern electronic french elements would be pretty cool. That soundscape with her hooks would be heavenly. That said, watch her zig completely when we expect her to zag and make an R&B album randomly.

You're NEVER getting that slow album from her, (because for the most part, that's just not her) sorry not sorry. She's in her industrial pop bag rn.

The universal acclaim Abracadabra got combined with the high peak in streams and change in course-correction for the album kind of proves Abracadabra was the perfect choice for a single. If anything, maybe she needs to get even more abrasive on LG8.

Gaga never really followed trends in music (EDM being the one exception maybe), she's always done her own thing. Asking her to be "soft" and "chill" just to achieve success is kind of the antithesis of what Gaga's artistry is about. It's not a coincidence that whenever she's tried to "soften" herself, it's come across as inauthentic and ended up disappointing both fans and the GP.

From here on, the direction her career should take is simply following her heart and doing whatever she wants (that's basically what Beyoncé is doing with her trilogy)

Also she has her ballads for a softer sound...

The more I think about it the more Garden Of Eden would be the obvious choice for a Mayhem single past Abracadabra. Pleases the fans, has like 3 different hooks, would fuel the "old Gaga is back" narrative, would obviously make for an amazing music video. There are so many potential singles on the album though. But I guess in hindsight, judging by all I've heard about Mayhem from the GP, and the streaming numbers. This would've been the ideal single roll-out.

Garden Of Eden as a lead.

Abracadabra as the second single.

Vanish Into You as the third and final single.

They fumbled making Disease the lead, I don't know how valid the "lightning-rod" theory on that choice is tbqh, and then they had so many opportunities to launch a new single and just didn't. Vanish Into You would've been a mega smash in Brazil if she released a music video for it during or after Copacabana.
