every time we get new content from this era, I get more pissed off. disease and abra being the only true singles from the main album, the aesthetics, working with gesaffelstein, the abracadabra grammy's performance, the songs from other albums chosen for the tour setlist and now mayhem requiem. it's like she gets what the album could've been better than anyone else, yet the production on the album couldn't be more different from that.

don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to see her so passionate about a pop album again, this is probably her best era since BTW and her best era in terms of performances overall. but I just hate that songs like The Dead Dance, Don't Call Tonight or Kill for Love are representative of the album's sound. I feel like the concept and visuals had a lot more to offer sonically than what we got. hopefully this is her stepping into that direction further for LG8

Thing is no individual song is representative of the album sound and that is way i love MAYHEM so much. MAYHEM is a diverse album and that is exactly what she teased before release. I love the first half more than the second but i am really glad that we have songs like How Bad or Shadow on the album.
