Liddos still mourning the imaginary sound they hallucinated for Mayhem when she explicitly said in multiple interviews leading up to the album release that Mayhem would not stick to a single sound. She never said "dark bawps only". The concept of what "mayhem" is itself isn't explicitly limited to darkness either.

As much as I too wish there were more Disease/Abra-esque songs on Mayhem, we can't get mad at her about the sound some of the songs have because she was very upfront about it.

An album full of Abras/Diseases would be so tiring to listen to. Part of the charm of those two songs are because there is not ENOUGH of them on the album.

Also like, no one was initially mad that a funk song was teased in the Disease video but now suddenly everyone has a problem with Mayhem having had some funk songs. Make it make sense.

They deserve an LG8 tour date for sure. She was able to sell out their stadium in Athens with half capacity during CHARTDROP era, she could sell it out at full capacity for sure now.

Liddos still not understanding the musical direction of MAYHEM a whole year later the album takes you through a journey that hits different decades and sub-genres of pop music that have influenced her own music.

Mayhem would've been a dark album if her boy stayed quiet. I do think requiem is her showing us what it could've been like.

It was considered at one point but she never went through with it. I think the fanmade theory discourse comes down to Twitter liddos thinking that was the original sound of the record and that she changed it to disco/funk because of Michael or the success of DWAS. Which we all know isn't true.

Vanish Into You was the first song written for Mayhem and it's certainly not a dark/industrial song. Gaga's just saying things sometimes.

She never did it but she explicitly said Michael was the person who convinced her to not go there and I think thats what Requiem is for, she is going there now.
