Judging that they mixed GL and SOAW (and still RUNWAY on some) on playlists, seems they're seeing if anything takes off. If not, probably won't be a single but if one does blow up I'm sure they'd just send it to radio or something. Which I'm hoping for with SOAW.

I think both were really good moves though. Getting her face (and music) onto both TV and film with critically backed and commercially successful projects back to back is great after MAYHEM. I am sure whenever her next starring role is announced, there will be tons of buzz. Each step is building more and more anticipation as to what it'll be, which is cool but also makes it much higher stakes to get it right.

I also don't think it's a great idea to not mention things until they drop or, worse, long after they've dropped. We saw a little bit of that through Mayhem and though it didn't matter all that much in the end, it's also something that requires minimal effort while engaging the public and fanbase. Her approach post-Disease has been strange.

I don't really put this on Gaga though. Her D-level manager should've had social media posts scheduled across all of her channels weeks ago, it's not like this was a surprise release. I honestly don't know what he does given Michael is involved with her appearance bookings, website, etc. now.

She seriously needs a new manager. Bobby is useless as ever and having him manage one of the biggest stars on the planet in 2026 is pure insanity. She needs someone competent that's actually passionate about her career.

Have people forgotten that this is just a laid-back song for a movie soundtrack (The Devil Wears Prada, for God's sake!!!), not the lead single from a long-awaited album?

And speaking of singles, imagine the meltdowns if Gaga had released something as bland and uninspired, truly a nothing burger, like Bring Your Love in the lead-up to a highly anticipated project. It would be unbearable. In comparison, Runway sounds far more authentic, but still that's the key difference: one is simply a soundtrack song that people feel oddly comfortable overanalyzing, while the other would be a standout single from an album framed as the follow-up to a 2000s pop classic.
