This type of **** makes the the hive look ignorant.

Doing a SuperBowl halftime mostly in spanish IS politican in these times. El Apagón and Lo que le pasó a Hawaii are explicitly political songs. He literally represented a power outage in the performance which IS a political reference:

In 'El Apagón,' Bad Bunny Tackles Gentrification and Powe...

The Puerto Rican musician balances the pride and anger of Puerto Ricans in his new album, Un Verano Sin Ti .

The very fact that he is the one who headlined it is political. He didn't have to do anything but to show up and it still would've been political. He had many political statements though. Shakira and JLo were political in the same sense. And they had a Porto Rican flag and children singing Born in the USA in front of it. If that's not political, I don't know what is. Beyoncé's 2013 performance wasn't political, but every choice Jay Z made since he started producing the halftime shows was political, even if the performance wasn't. Beyoncé may conceptualize her music and performances as political acts, same as Kendrick does, but she did not invent that and she's not the only one doing it

Beyonce still the only artist to go fully political at the superbowl. Everyone else only minor symbolism. What would we do without Beyonce not being afraid to risk her life and career to make a statement on the biggest platform in America?

I would not say that, BUT

Beyoncé marching in broad daylight from the grass to the world's biggest stage flanked by dancers in Black Panther regalia and then marking an X on the field singing Formation at a moment of intense political discussion about BLM/police brutality truly set the scene for the political works (on and off the Super Bowl stage) that would come after.

Thank you for getting it. These other nub nuts are too busy fishing for likes. No one has ever shaken the table like she has. I remember everyone expect lady Gaga do something during hers after trump was inaugurated and all she did was sing God Bless America at the start. Kendrick said the revolution would be televised while dancers were dressed in flag colors but there's a reason why #they didn't throw a tantrum as big as they did for Beyonce. I said what I said!

are there still rumors of something dropping on V-Day ? bird

Sure, why not? foxaylove3

Other fandoms stay being copycats.Everybody knows how beyhive always say Beyonce is the celebrity of the celebrities. Now all of a sudden they are saying that towards the other pop girl. She is a talented artist and deserves her success but I feel other fandoms be competing which is weird AF.

It is okay for other artists to thrive and exist in the same industry as our fave and her still be the greatest performer of all time sistrens

Atrl is lame AF now lmao. ATRL been racist but now the site wack and racist. Like pick a struggle

I will say - a Bad Bunny collab would be beautiful for streaming poison Beyonce atm, ngl

Hopefully the rumors are true

Beyond that, after listening to his last album, I really think they have a similarly ethos when it comes to song-making.

I'd love for them to put out a whole 5-minute song that takes on different genres together and blends entirely different melodies/portions (like a SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN')

I just rewatched Beyoncé Bowl and... it kinda outdid her own SB (which I watched right before). The scope of it all, and the way she really used the field felt both new and classic at the same time. Like watching a halftime show from 1985 but with the polish and finesse of 2024.

AND ALSO, I am soooo here for Beyoncé's JOLENE.
I really think its haters are hating in bad faith. So much of the critique is "She didn't know what the song is about" or "She removed the true meaning" or whatever, but Beyoncé's version isn't meant to replace the original, it's presented knowing we are very familiar with the most iconic female country song of all time. The fact that we expect to hear a certain verse and plot but are presented with another is the point. It's supplemental, surprising, humorous, silly, and even a bit daring...all adding to her overall concept of updating the country genre to fit her, not changing herself to fit into country.

I think it's one of the songs that presents the meaning of the album most clearly, aside from AMERIICAN REQUIEM.

well, i disagree / Jolene is awful for her standards and song that does nothing for the album, the least interesting song on the album. And im beyhive. So not cool to call people you disagree with "haters" / it is immature and does not lead to productive discussion at all.

On another note: They love tp argue Gaga is as versatile as Bey or even more versatile, but all I heard was a white woman struggling to emote well on a Salsa song. Meanwhile Bey showed that she can also adapt to this type of music

OT: (he could re-arrange my insides every day damn!)

Gagachella, BenitoBowl

She needs to have a GP-friendly moment soon. Preferrably some sort of high profile performance. It's annoying to see her rep suffer with the GP over conspiratorial BS.

Unpopular opinion: OG Super Bowl is not even in top 100 Beyonce performances.

Meant to be her big comeback but it was the same old standard setlist condensed into 12mins, same old choreo except she was doing wayyyyy too much this time, popping her body so hard instead of moving naturally (esp in EOT AND SL, which resulted in the unflattering photos), way too much running commentary over the music ('How y'all feelin?', 'Sing!', 'Mamas!', 'Horns!', 'Sing it!', 'Put your hands together!', "Everybody sing!', 'Come on!', 'WHERE MY RING AT!!' every 5 damn seconds), underwhelming production.

The performance stopped and started way too many times; a halftime setlist should flow and transition naturally through to the end, but she said 'Thank you!' so many times after the songs just stopped that I thought the performance was over at least twice before it actually was.

Makeup and outfit were also horrible.

I genuinely think she looks back at this performance with some regret and has learned from it because she never really revisited it and didn't repeat these mistakes.

I also think she was giving A LOT (too much) to prove she could still perform after having Blue (which we saw she also did for Coachella post-twins), and she clearly could but a lot just didn't land right.

She comes off better when she's aiming high but slightly more relaxed.

You sound like a Gen Z person with the trying too hard ****. Bey clearly wanted to go hard for the super bowl in 2013. This comment also reeks of whiteness. You like aesthetic over performance. Bey went just as hard when she performed with nicki for feeling myself

re: Valentine's Day

IF she happens to drop something that day act 3 related(and that's a BIG if)…all I'll say is next year the SB halftime show falls on Valentine's Day.

And you sound obtuse. If I liked aesthetic over performance I would be attending Taylor Swift concerts.

Dont you think its to early to headline it a second time ? Idk i dont think she will headline it a second time especially before folks like Taylor Swift etc havent headlined yet ... Mind you i love her and would love a Performance ofc but Xmas Bowl was just a little over a year ago etc ... I could see something like 2033 which will be 20 years since her first Superbowl ( as headliner ) .

Not necessarily. I think especially if it was shaped around the anct 3 "rock" era and even brought perhaps some guest rock performers as well it would fully be able to stand on its own.

Does anyone know where I can listen to Destiny's Child "This Little Light of Mine" from the Beverly Hood soundtrack? Literally cannot find any evidence of this song but I know it exists.

Perhaps she included it on CC cause she actually likes it/resonates with it? I mean the feelings described in Jolene were probably things she has felt in her own relationship. Not every song she releases needs to make a huge statement or have a strong narrative, she can pay tribute to music she is inspired by or really likes too
