It looks a bit strange to me. When you click into her albums, there are three versions of B'Day (standard, deluxe and anthology), only the standard version of IASF (you have to click into the album to get the deluxe version suggested) and then the expanded/platinum editions of 4 and self-titled. It's like they can't make their minds up what to show.

If it's only a Beyoncé thing, I find it interesting that they emphasizing the BDay anthology and the videos for Self Titled like that. Maybe they're figuring out a way to release the visuals or the Lemonade film for the 10th anniversary.

I just rewatched Beyoncé Bowl and... it kinda outdid her own SB (which I watched right before). The scope of it all, and the way she really used the field felt both new and classic at the same time. Like watching a halftime show from 1985 but with the polish and finesse of 2024.

AND ALSO, I am soooo here for Beyoncé's JOLENE.
I really think its haters are hating in bad faith. So much of the critique is "She didn't know what the song is about" or "She removed the true meaning" or whatever, but Beyoncé's version isn't meant to replace the original, it's presented knowing we are very familiar with the most iconic female country song of all time. The fact that we expect to hear a certain verse and plot but are presented with another is the point. It's supplemental, surprising, humorous, silly, and even a bit daring...all adding to her overall concept of updating the country genre to fit her, not changing herself to fit into country.

I think it's one of the songs that presents the meaning of the album most clearly, aside from AMERIICAN REQUIEM.
