I remember that there were many if us who enjoyed DIL more at the time, but that opinion has shifted. I was one of them. B'Day grew on me and has become one of my favorites from her.

Honestly, it was only due to Deja Vu being reminiscent of Crazy in Love (another Jay feature, similar in style, etc.) + back then, it was the norm that popgirlies had to reinvent themselves every era (unlike today, where they can drop the same song and albums 4 times in a row and still succeed)
