It's just occurred to me that very much like the country audience, while the critics of the genres will laude and appreciate her foray into rock - the general rock audience will not actually listen and give her a chance because of their perception of who she is as an artist.

She also probably knows this and just doesn't care, it's about her audience and her artistry.

I go back and forth on this. If Tom Morello and other big rock names truly are involved, the rock audience will be more open to checking it out than country fans were.

There is certainly racism in rock music, but fans of rock, on the whole, are less racist than they are (insufferable) music snobs. Especially older fans, who are mostly what the genre attracts. They consider rock "real music," whereas Beyoncé is just a pop star in their eyes.

If big names they're fans of are involved and praise the record, they'll be much more likely to give it a fair shake. Let's be so real, modern country music fans didn't give a damn if Willie Nelson or Dolly Parton said to check it out. It's an incredibly racist genre with many racist fans.

There's no real basis for it besides the collab album rumor from an actual music journalist, but it makes sense for them as a couple. They could tour it together. I know no one is in love with the idea, and I'm not either, but I also wouldn't be shocked if it happened.

It also wouldn't surprise me if The Love Below inspired act iii. The influences for it have been hinted at for a while now, and it lines up pretty perfectly. Back when she did Tidal playlists, she was always putting songs from it on them.

Angelo Waters is one registered song I'm almost certain will make the tracklist. It's produced by no i-d and probably a tribute to D'Angelo, the king of progressive soul.

I really don't think she actually gives a ****, and that's evident from the last two albums in the trilogy.

She's not heading into these genres to stay, she's just experimenting (because she's probably bored with R&B/Soul/Pop or the current landscape of music). I highly doubt if she made plans to sing country for a few years, or for good, she'd lead the way with "Texas Hold'em", while "Break My Soul" and "Cuff It" were easier to digest- same will happen with Act III.

I've edited this trick, to make it shorter, because I believe everyone here should be able to get the gist without it being spelt out.

I'm 100% here for a rock/jazz fusion album. And we already got a taste of that way back with POTS

But that's the point. A song like POTS would fit perfectly on an album like The Love Below (the album mentioned in the post above mine). And if she was inspired by that album, I totally see a song like POTS coming from that inspiration with more songs to come…

I much prefer the rumors of her having recorded a Heavy Metal song. Now THAT I want to hear. **** me up Mother!

I need aggression, passion and energy on Act3. CC was quite mellow, its time to **** us up big time and let it all out.

Theres nothing on Rennie that sounded like CC and vice versa. Im fairly positive that Act3 will sound very different from the two. Sure, shes going to have some epic ballad moments on Act3, but they will be nothing like Protector, Daughter, POTS or 2MostWanted or even II Hands II Heaven, Im sure of that

I took a research deep dive into the origins of Black label powerhouse SOLAR Records (the in-house record label that grew from Soul Train) a few winters ago, and at one point (with The Deele, The Whispers, Shalamar/Jody Watley, The Sylvers, Midnight Star, Absolute, Klymaxx, Lakeside, etc.) they were the cutting edge of Disco and R&B. For Beyonce to sample their largest brand (The Sylvers), and at the same time show love to the only Black music family one could compare to the Jacksons (on the tour celebrating the blackness of disco and the inherent fusion of R&B at that), was kismet. It will take a lot for me to lose respect for the ecosystem of unsung pioneer recognition and intention B builds around each project, and that threshold keeps getting father and farther away with each release.

You know what? Let the secret fourth act be Love Is Everything. I wouldn't be mad. (If RAYE hadn't worked with Hans Zimmer he would've been the perfect surprise collaborator to bring something cinematic and Bond-like to a record or three.) I also want each of them to pick 2-3 of the other spouse's records and make something new with the beat: Beyonce? "Bam" and "Show Me What You Got". Jay-Z? "Countdown" and "Kitty Kat."
