Can someone explain or show me the rumor of a delay? I don't know what this means I seemed to have missed that episode of our daily meltdown

New totally random theory:

She is performing at the FIFA World Cup Halftime Show in June/July. Album will be lined up alongside this.

It's total conjecture on my side. But I remember Fifa mentioned they are going all-out this year and doing a Super-Bowl sized Halftime Show for the first time. Fifa are announcing a lot of the performers around the event in general, opening ceremony, etc. But nothing yet about Halftime. If they wanna make a statement and go as big as they are teasing, it doesn't really get bigger than Bey. Similarly, she's in this season of everything needing to be grand, innovative, and uncharted territory. This fits the bill.

Chris Martin is apparently "curating" it, too. He's a friend, so surely the slot would be hers if wanted.

We'll see.

Edit: Halftime is Sunday July 19th. Being extra delulu, could see album dropping July 17, with the performance being the grand live debut (think a 2016 take on the Formation / Halftime promo vehicle). That would make the announcement/pre-order frame be late-ish May/early June. For a nice 6-8-ish week pre-order frame. If she wants to lean into the internet speculation, she can "announce" on May 29 and play into the 29th having significance to the trilogy overall.

There was a Hollywood insider (I believe it may have been Rob Shuter) that posted a couple months ago saying that the album is delayed because she's taking off songs from a certain collaborator (Most likely the dream due to his allegations)

While may 29th would make so much sense because of Tina Turner, I also don't see it happening.. unless she is planning a surprise release, I would have assumed she will have an actual rollout like Renaissance and CC, with a big announcement etc.. the only other way is if she announces during the opening of world cup but it doesn't make any sense, superbowl was a different conversation..

I DON'T KNOW MAN but it's f-ing frustrating not being able to know Beyonce's moves and how unpredictable she is almost 30 years into her career…

Kelly pops out every few years and claims a new album is just on the horizon and then nothing happens.

Not at all. Reworking material like that always ends up in losing the original magic. Look at Taylors rerecordings.

As a fan, you cannot wish for that. Its bound to be less amazing that way.

I haven't made my mind on the The Dream matter yet, so I won't elaborate. He is awesomely versatile, but I wouldn't say that he is the best producer she has ever worked with.

Anyhow, I don't necessarily agree; plenty of material gets reworked in the studio. There are different versions of virtually any song of hers in her archive, we simply get to hear the cut she prefers. Besides, I was hoping to hear the same music with just her current tone, not a completely different album or a rerd-recoing (I have never listened to a Taylor's version album and don't intend to).

Yes, Bey could drum up hype with the IG announcement, but one of the more predictable elements of her present-day approach to superstardom is that she typically always uses a mass platform to her benefit.

At this point, there is nothing bigger than the World Cup taking place this year and the first-of-its-kind Halftime is very on brand for her first-to-do-x, innovator schtick.

It feels...feasible.

Beloved, you're reading it wrong.

Those artists are all doing the OPENING CEREMONY and are performing across different regions to kick-off the games.

Halftime Show is specifically for the FINAL GAME in July. Literally, think exactly like the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

They made a big song and dance about this year being the first year for that, and they noticeably have not revealed who is doing it yet.

Doing a quick Google search about Bey's potential involvement and seen a few interesting (unsubstantiated) stories and the occasional reddit about Bey being in the negotiation mix. BUT her catch (allegedly) being that she'd want it to be all-new music. That was the part that actually made me think there may be something to it, as that is VERY Xmas Netflix Halftime coded and is the one way she can use a mass platform to push Act III.

It's annoying because, just like Xmas Halftime, I think she'd benefit from weaving in some of her classics (especially for a GP audience), but I simultaneously like her flex of using her name value to book the slot only to cement the new rather than resting on nostalgia.

The only thing making me question if she'd do it is that it seems they may be going multi-artist, and there's allegedly murmuring of her doing it with... The Weeknd. In one regard, would make sense for the Fifa audience on the other, Bey doesn't need to share nor should she. At the same time, she did the Coldplay/Bruno thing, so I legitimately feel like everything is on the table.

It was on loop for me this January, couldn't stop playing it. Thankfully it's at least on YouTube and SoundCloud, but she should really get all her material on the major streaming platforms. Even the unreleased leaked songs please, would be so amazing whilst we wait for act iii.

IMO, it's one of the best songs of CC and the perfect reimagining.

On top of that, I heard it out in a themed environment and people went wild.

IMO, the Hive will never beat the allegations of: disliking anything "too GP pleasing" or "quickly discarding anything familar once the new comes along".

Both Jolene and BMS will alwyas tower tall as best examples. Hive had literally NO issue with BMS on launch, yet when Rennie came along with an avalanche of new songs, BMS was suddenly basic and bastardized. Jolene was a cover, thus was known already, CC comes along with 22 new songs, and most of those are immediately loved more IMO because of recency bias.
