her streams could be better but its also decent for someone wit 28 yr in music.

Y'all acting like she's above (botting) streams but Texas and Break My Soul mysteriously both went #1 while everything else jumps off the hot 100

On the subject of streams...

People's attention spans are very short these days, and it takes a few rounds of exposure to encourage people to adopt new music into their favourite playlists. It's like Hitchcock's rule of three - if you want the audience to remember something, make sure you mention it three times.

One way this can be done is through radio play / tiktok, where the average person is exposed to music selected for them by the algorithm or DJ. But radio is dying, and Break My Soul wasn't super radio friendly. Texas was, and it also had a major tiktok trend which entrenched the song as a hit. But BMS doesn't quite blend into a typical playlist. In fact, BMS is quite grating to listen to as a standalone track (and I love the song). Texas is easier on the ears, but the intensity of its initial success and the genre swing made it feel tokenistic to the average listener, and now it feels very of its time in a dated way much like Old Town Road.

The real potential legacy hits from both albums are Cuff It and Bodyguard, but Bodyguard didn't get any boost beyond a music video that didn't even cover the whole song, and wasn't even titled after it. Cuff It fared better, and I'm perplexed as to why it hasn't become a bigger hit long-term. I think it just lacked anything truly iconic to go with it's sound. No live performance, no music video. When there's nothing to latch onto, things become more easily forgotten.

This is why I'm struggling with the no visuals, no live album, no tour film approach she's taking right now. It's stunting the legacy of this music.

Speaking of transitions, I did wonder if she might skip having transitions on act iii all together.

You can tell when she lets her guard down with certain interviewers just like this one.

Who knows if she will ever speak to us again in an unscripted interview format. When she said she felt SEEN by the country community it humanizes her. We forget she is a HUMAN with feelings. She gets sad too. I'm happy she got her moment. Idk how you can watch this and still hate on her as a person.
