Like the content exists, why does she keep it hostage? She learned the wrong lessons from Prince and his obsessive need for control I fear. Yall know this Beyhive on YouTube, I believe his channel was called Maverick. He legit had 100s of videos from his 100s of tour stops over the years, probably as far back as MCWT and apparently Sony copyright striked his ENTIRE page.

He went to many opening nights, closing nights, exclusive festivals etc. I don't get why they would copyright strike his unofficial phone footage of a live concert, why not just demonetize all his videos and YouTube ID the songs in all of them so Bey and all parties get streaming royalties from it? I remember binging all her performances on YouTube which helped convert me into a Stan, now a whole generation or two doesn't get to fully live that experience, now that is sad regarding her legacy….

The thing about this "good licensing deal" is that the rumors and or truthfully leaked info is that major streaming platforms are NOT willing to pay what she is demanding for her content to be on their platforms. Sounds like a lose lose situation for all parties involved. I guess she can project them on her home theatre screen and watch it during major holidays with Jay, Julius and Tina….we know the kids ain't watching any of that…

Charts are pretty stale atm, a lot of songs are past their primes, or are about to peak. A big debut (top5) for a lead in early April is a given even with a more lukewarm reception. Let's see how she's gonna top the Super Bowl announcement.

That is an interesting theory.

I guess she doesn't have to report numbers or anything but it is a gamble, it could look like a flop really easily if no one cares, not because no one cares about her, but because it's so specific and nowadays it seems all streaming platforms are offering hundreds of titles and options and benefits, not just one artist's oeuvre.

Alternatively it has been my theory since she didn't put a FWT DVD out hat she might be holding her content for a later-career retrospective of sorts she could sell to a streaming service in the form of a episodic "documentary" like Week 1: BTS/her life Week 2: FWT; Week 3: More biographical stuff, Week 4: OTRII; Week 5: Bio stuff, Week 6: Dubai concert, and so on and so forth. But that's also a long shot.

If Homecoming was sold for $20 million, then thats about 2 million subscribers at $9.99 needed to get the same sort of benefit, which I guess is doable WW considering her albums sell as much, and it could even be said to be 1 million subscribers who stay for two months. The more I type it out the more business sense it makes, BUT I think of all her projects, this being so nouveau and out of the ordinary for a pop superstar, she'd need to really make the promo rounds...perform at late night shows, get interviewed, really sell it because it's not just a new album it's like a legacy piece.

BUT AS ALWAYS: who knows!

The only way her own streaming platforms works is if its centered on live music and has content for everyone. Other pop girls, bands, archive footage of the great legends, deals with festivals to broadcast it live. A Beyonce only project is too niche to survive for long and keep monthly subscriptions. Im shocked the big streaming names havent invested on old concerts yet, even if they were made available for a limited time

I think her removing the performance is just another example of her overall goal of trying to prevent being too accessible. It's something she's been doing for over a decade, and she seems fine with that strategy

One thing I will say is I detest Gen Z. I'm happy she is not trying to appeal to them. I guess I'm a self Hater because I'm Gen Z but they like basic **** and that will never be Bey Brand.
