ARTPOP is unfairly maligned.

However, Erotica absolutely clears in every aspect

Erotica is a masterpiece. Artpop is a fun pop album. 

Erotica by miles. ARTPOP is a mess of an album, there were a lot of interesting ideas that unfortunately weren't executed well.

Erotica is Bold. Not for everyone and totally different from all madonna studio albums previously but it achieves what she sets out to do and its top notch. top 5 in her discobraphy.

 

Artpop has bops but its too loud and messy. Its more that Lady Gaga didnt know what to do after BTW

There's a reason it's critically acclaimed. 

 

And as a reminder, the backlash was due to the Sex book's controversy, not the music. Unlike ARTPOP, people thought the music was garbage and people just stopped caring about Gaga. Madonna was still the biggest pop star in 1992. 

I don't hate Artpop like some of you, but there's no comparison with Erotica.

I don't recalled the idea of Gaga is birth "pop music" or egg mother or whatever it called is interesting. It's ******ed.

I personally like ARTPOP more, but Erotica is a classic. Maybe AP will get the legendary over time, but today Erotica is the clear winner

a valid comparison is Confessions to BTW, the real comparison is MDNA vs BTW, and madonna still clears both.
