Have you ever had plastic surgery?

Featured Replies

The thread is very straight forward. Have you? If yes, then what and how was your overall experience?

I think I'm gonna save up for some to do next summer.

No, but i probably will in a decade or so. I want to look like a 19 year old for as long as i can

Yes, many times. As I get older, I've become increasingly obsessed with my looks, to the point where it's become unhealthy.  Initially, when I went to the dermatologist a few years ago, I just wanted to get a little botox and filler in my cheeks and forehead, to keep my skin looking young and supple, but once I saw how good I looked after the first procedure, I became fixated on the idea of trying to look as young as possible.  What started out as routine botox and filler eventually turned into rhinoplasty, liposuction, lip injections, a hair transplant, BBL, sphincteroplasty, and a tummy tuck.  The strange thing, though, is that, although I feel more confident in my appearance now, I don't feel like guys are as interested in me anymore.  I'm not sure if it's because I'm washed up and over their desired age limit, or if it's because they think the "plastic look" signals insecurity, and thus they avoid me altogether.   It's just frustrating to think how much time and money I spent on surgeries to improve my self-esteem (and it worked - at least temporarily), but now I'm asking myself whether it was even worth it at all.  Here I am, alone on a Saturday evening, with nothing inside me besides silicone.  I don't know what I'm looking for in writing this, I guess I just need some words of encouragement.

No, but I would like to do it in the future. In my country it's very expensive, so I would probably do it when I finish my studies at university.

I'm even thinking about specializing in plastic surgery. I'm very interested in that, not only for beauty but also for being able to help reconstruct people's faces after accidents and serious injuries.

Anyways i'm 20 years old, i have a very long run to end, i'm not even in my 30s.

No I'm generally happy with my looks on most days but had really bad dysphoria for years that resulted in me going to the psych ward :rip:

If I could I'd get a blepharoplasty though, my eyelids are asymmetrical and I think it throws my appearance off :clack:

I got botox for the first time like two months ago. Only between my eye brows tho, because I simply dont want to have that "overtly focused" or "permanently angry" look as I age (I'm 36 now and I saw that wrinkle between my eye brows coming in in real time).

Besides that I'm not planning on getting anything done except the obvious face lift when I'm around 60. I think that is really worth it.

No, but i'd do get rid of genetic body fat that cannot be lost with any other way

I have the same thing, I think, and I just call it "my bedroom eyes" :)

If you wouldn't have pointed it out, I would have never noticed the difference in eye lids! I'm sure you've been told that before, but it's true. It's soooo minimal. But I understand that we all have a much more critical view of our own features than other people do.

This took me out :bibliahh:Self-deprecating humour is very attractive to me :bird:

No, but lowkey I'd love some slight corrections. Nothing drastic. A lil botox to get ride of the wrinkle between my eyes, maybe double eyelid surgery. And lipo. I do like the rest.

My boyfriend does my Botox for me. I love it. But I would get a lower bleph because I have hereditary bag/puffiness since I was a kid. Other than that I'm really happy with my face and I feel like I just get better with age

Oh wow that's basically my eye shape.

Even my nose is asymmetric, looks different based on the side of my face. If I was a celebrity, stans online would constantly question if I had a nose job based on which sides of my face are pictures taken.

You guys consider botox a surgery? :deadbanana4: I meant anesthesia and scalpels

Yes, but not for vanity

What counts as plastic surgery? :sabrina:

This :deadbanana2: even most post-injury reconstructions are plastic surgery

Edited by Popboi.

I got a laser and injections (Botox) in my cheeks / acne scar in Korea once. I didn't even realise I was getting Botox when I signed up for the injection lmao

Not sure if that counts or not, it was all very temporary
