Charli xcx - 'Music, Fashion, Film'
No One Lasts Forever is a career highlight imo. Yeah is a hit waiting to happen. Still think Rock Music is a standout.
- If Taylor is new Madonna, Gaga is Christina and Gracie is Britney - thoughts?

What is Gaga’s strongest songwriting material?
MAYHEM is not good lyrically and that is the bottom line. Chromatica is way better lyrically than MAYHEM. MAYHEM is sooooo good melodically + production wise tho. A lot of MAYHEM sounds like she stood in a room full of Halloween decorations + costumers and was like "POTIONS!" "WEREWOLVES!" "BLOOD!" "ZOMBIES!" "MAGIC!" "SERIAL KILLERS!" "FRANKENSTEIN!". It is the weirdest theme throughout the album and actually makes no sense with the album's concept most of the time. Super fun record despite that.

Did Olivia just release AOTY?
Let's please be honest that the RAYE album is not anywhere close to AOTY. It felt contrived and felt like someone trying to make an AOTY rather than actually having an AOTY. OT: Probably Olivia's best offering but I don't think it's any better than Holly Humberstone's album tbh!

Lady Gaga
outstanding music and lyrics? they must be having a laugh

Charli xcx - 'Music, Fashion, Film'
tell me about it!!! remember watching her show in a dirty little dive bar pub in London for True Romance. I haven't loved everything that Charli has ever put out but my god, she is always interesting and she's always true to herself. People who loved BRAT loved it because it glamorised club culture and had quotable lines that could easily become memes + TikToks. It's so reflective of where culture is right now. People with short attention spans and the need for things to make sense instantly. Music, Fashion, Film is so far shaping up to be an album I'm going to love but I would have equally been just as fine if it was something I hated. If you've been a fan of Charli for her career, you'll know that you never quite know what you're going to get and that's what makes her so fun to be a fan of.

Joan Baez frustrated by women songwriters who refuse to take a political stance
babe we are talking about political songs, what has her tweeting got to do with that? do not point to the one line in You Need To Calm Down.

Joan Baez frustrated by women songwriters who refuse to take a political stance
Unfortunately NONE of them have the balls to actually do that I really feel the last full-on political song by a MPG was Dear Mr. President by P!nk. https://youtu.be/PnlzCPv8ad4?si=IsLhuOxKk1bZ1MFU I don't think it's fair to just call out women though. Which mega star has actually done meaningful political songs since Michael Jackson? They Don't Care About Us, Earth Song, Heal The World, Man In The Mirror, Black or White. I mean honestly. The artists these days have absolutely no balls, it's very sad. Even songs like Freedom / American Has A Problem / Black Parade by Beyoncé are subtle in their delivery in my opinion. But at least she actively releases songs with a message. Gaga had Born This Way which was humungous but since then she took a step back. She was once a huge risk taker with a political voice. Taylor has notably done **** all and I say that as someone who is a huge Taylor fan. You've got smaller artists like MUNA who are ACTIVELY making songs that actually say what they mean. https://youtu.be/GkWO2WO26yo?si=PUS0E3ZcCc1yZZc_
