I tried to think about this honestly:

 

- Released a compilation w/ Republic that would typically never leave the charts for any other artist with most of her biggest hits..... gone.

- Music? Cannot release a song/feature and have charting on lock anymore.

- Heavy On It? Ice Spice sprinted away from the potential contract before Nicki could gobble up her publishing.

- Documentary? How does one release the 2018 "hate train" edit when time has shown you to be the hater? Timeline-wise: How can you mention the death of your father but avoid mentioning your thoughts on Covid-19 as well as her brother and husband's recent criminal offenses without having the doc panned by critics? Tough sell. No current buyers.

- Tidal? Didn't sign the paperwork to get her share, which may have helped her out of her financial hole. Can't blame Hov.

- Megan / Latto / Cardi B? Thriving. Businesses, organic crossovers to TV/movies, making moves towards music ownership.

- Ambassador for Female Rap? Now seen as divisive and immature, only hops on records once she sees them trending up (Coi, Bia, Ice Spice), decided not to join the Recording Academy, has no Grammys to show for her work.

- Doja Cat? Distancing herself from predators and who they sleep with. Nicki's main pop radio lifeline (Ariana) is also moving on.

- Drake / Lil Wayne? Her "protectors" don't support her when she beefs with the Carters (who have helped all 3 of them), but expect loyalty when they beef with Kendrick / Kanye / Pusha T.

- Radio Show? Gone. Lucrative Apple Radio deal became erratic meetings on Stationhead. 

- Politically? Seen as not in touch with issues... very narcissistic: ignored opportunities to inform people of covid precautions, drive votes and support fellow immigrants / women's rights, and side-stepped the BLM movement while simultaneously supporting colorist Jesy Nelson... timing couldn't have been worse.

- Substance Use? Not okay. People are worried for her safety, and each situation seems to escalate her dosage.

- Now that people are appearing in public with Pink wigs and Nicki / her fanbase are going mad... the tide is turning as people are understanding what Lil Kim was saying.

 

How does Nicki Minaj logically move forward?

(A hiatus isn't working, and what was her strong-suit (rapping) is trending down if "Big Foot" is any indication.)

I am done with her immature and annoying antics. But she bounced back (again) after the Big Foot incident 🤷🏾 so what I said is true. She'll always have a thriving and successful career.
