it's definitely not horrible but it's crazy to watch that video and actually see the growth to what she's doing now. that video looks very wooden and uninspired and even kinda amateur tbh

Tbh yeah its not a good song. But without it she would have never been able to have the artistic growth she needed for making her debut album.

 

I got it bad on the other hand was the smash that got away. Could have been huge as her debut song

Gen Z is just mad fickle and easily moved by the opinions and politics of others via social media. Half of the millenial queens would have been dealt with the same if they had to go through the social media microanalysis process that happens today.

Not trying to be hateful but she couldn't sing at the time and the production is kind of messy. I don't think the song will ever be for me but if someone else sang it, it probably could be more palatable.

No it's dreadful and was rightfully panned. It's not even an awful song, it's her lifeless delivery with the weak vocals that kills it

Yes. People took it so seriously and at face value that they missed how self-aware it is lyrically. 

No, it got the hate you'd expect for a song by TikToker turned "pop star" at the time. The standard to be taken seriously was always going to be high(er) for her considering her beginnings

 

and yeah, the song and video were subpar but not horrible 

A little. It's charming in a 2015 Selena Gomez kind of way.

She needed the struggle of Obsessed in order to evolve into The Artist Currently Known As Goddison™.

The song is soulless and the choreo in the video is terrible, but I actually like the performance she did on that talk show

I loved it, I felt it was kinda meta given she got famous due to TikTok and without it we wouldn't have gotten that full circle moment on that Von Dutch remix
