Cause promo singles are not that common anymore. IT girl was definitely marketed as promo single (even called that by herself).

Ffs why does it even matter if they were singles or promo singles she's been putting in the work with visuals for 6 songs now not every fanbase gets that from a debut era. Just enjoy it

"It Girl", like "Midnight Cowboy", did not receive radio airplay adds; the other three releases did.

I like "Plastic Box" but I don't think it has strong chorus enough to be an official single and musically it is also very similar to We Cant be Friends type of song

 

I would prefer Unconditional or Headache tbh

 

But at this point giver us anything Miss Jade

None on the album but Jade has three collabs in the work for post album releases she has said.

Sounds good, I can def hear the WCBF comparison… but is this a smart single choice? It doesn't really have the punch of the other songs… giving Miley releasing adore you to kill the bangerz era

It's sort of generic but I also really like it, and it's the only single worthy song left on the album

Part of me thinks that's exactly why this is a good single choice for her, at this stage. She's released three punchy pop songs so far (Angel, IT girl, FUFN) and only one of those has really lit the charts alight. Fantasy, to a lesser extent, could also be put in the same category.

 

This is a nice change of pace, something different. It's also a very palatable "easy listening" kind of song. If this is paired with an emotional video, I can see it connecting with people and having much more longevity than the last couple of singles. At this point, I don't expect any of her singles to smash… but this is one I can see having a nice shelf life & being a slow burn type of 'hit' that racks up a decent streaming total. 

 

If anything was clear to me from last night, it's that ultimately Jade is and will be an album/touring act. She isn't going to be a singles artist so I really don't feel that she needs top 10s, top 5s or #1 singles to establish that. She just needs for each release to help expand her audience so that more people buy the album/buy tickets to her tours.
