  1. Discovered her with Shibuya and was kinda anti-gagged by her shift post-Speed tbh, she needs to get back to that OG vibe >>>
  2. aw last place doesn't feel great, but I took a risk with a fresh new bop that was love at first listen for me so no regrets. Good luck with the rest of the game y'all!
  3. i didn't feel right about ending my reviews on a seemingly salty note, this wasn't a bad playlist at all
  4. aurora's reviews (a little bit nicer version) paramore - fences: love paramore <3 the 2000s were a great time for them and had some of their best music, this is a solid example of that strong benchmark phantogram - when i'm small: it's a vibey piece of music that has an interesting feel to it, something to ponder to chichi - love me not: cute bop, see original review for more praises doss - strawberry: after a few listens i could see myself really really liking this honestly, it was a bit of a slow burn and these playlists favor instant/familiar slays genia - 10 out of 10: colossal collapse, see original review for more praises fiona apple - not about love: i love that she does her own thing, we love a strong woman who is not afraid to be herself and make the music she wants to make shygirl - 4eva: foot tapping a lot, has the kind of hook/melody that is sure to get stuck in your head after several listens. starting to get the shygirl appeal shygirl - mr useless: the production on this one is really stellar, sg lewis really just nails it every time i can't lie, i still prefer this to the other but both are good lemaitre - rocket girl: i was unreasonably harsh on this song in my original review, the production isn't that dated its kinda funky and fun + love betty who aespa - camouflage: cute bop, see original review for more praises great time - dag'ron: another song i was unreasonably harsh on, it's kinda a bop in an unconventional way? similar to the doss song, it was a bit of a slow burn after - deep diving: almost a song of the ever, see original review for more praises lee jung hyun - feel me!: i kinda did end up feeling this one a bit, it was a mix of cute and bop, but does cute > bop or does bop > cute? either way it was not bad bayli - passenger princess: big bop, you ate with the single cover selection i'm no longer salty about it, was my bad for not understanding the theme well enough lil hero - gun show: major serve, see original review for more praises ruusut - <3 <3: an experimental bop, i still stand by the eurovision comment a bit but it has an endearing quality to it after a few listens, a eurovision qualifier victoria monรฉt - sos (sex on sight): veeeeeeeery smooth lil number, victoria has so many great songs in her discography and this is great for a specific mood silo - dontcha: cutesy pinkpantheress'd bop, see original review for more praises
  5. since we missed that one round of results lemme posting aurora's reviews (a little bit nicer version) since the camp faux-rage ones weren't to everyone's liking
  6. robbed asf and now they playing in your faceโ€ฆ but at least the song was a bop i can't lie
  7. Silo - DONTCHA (feat. berryblue & LOVELI LORI) Its giving "We have PinkPantheress/NewJeans at home", PinkPantheress/NewJeans at home: BUT in saying that I kinda don't mind this at all, in fact I might have a place for you in my top ten because this playlist was highkey buns and I'm kinda digging the UKG vibe and want to uplift the khia entries in this round in anticipation of my khia song game Khia Asylum Escape coming #SOON #PromoForThisSenderAndThoseWhoReadAllMyReviews So yes for the cutesy vibe and giving me a segue to promo my upcoming song game you will be Aurewarded!! A nice closer to this playlist methinks. :jimin: CHOP-O-METER: MINOR SLAY WITH A PROMO BOOST
  8. Victoria Monรฉt - SOS (Sex on Sight) [feat. USHER] Congrats on your Victoria Monรฉt autosafe entry I guess but this was such a bore, and I quite like a lot of her music. USHER added nothing to this besides his herpes. CHOP-O-METER: BORING CHOP
  9. Ruusut - <3 <3 Girl, you could have saved this for a "songs without letters in the album title" and I still may not have even given this pointsโ€ฆ it sounded like a really bad Eurovision song (distinct from an average Eurovision song which I could have tolerated or maybe even enjoyed) to me idk how anyone could consider giving this points but to each their own I guess. CHOP-O-METER: OMEGA CHOP
  10. lil hero - gun show It feels appropriate to appropriate Kyuti here again, so FAWWWWWWWWWWK. I actually considered lil hero for this round as I remembered this album cover was humanless but felt like it might be too #risky for some of these girls. Luckily for you, your taste is going to be Aurewarded!! I do prefer other songs from this project but I think they've already been sent so it's not like you had much of a say in that. CHOP-O-METER: SLAY SHOW
  11. Bayli - Passenger Princess I'm soooooooo conflicted about this one because I would have considered sending this myself if it weren't for the simple fact that my girl Bayli is ON THE ALBUM COVER. I think it's kinda wild that this was accepted, like I distinctly remember @electrahard getting penalized in VL for sending PinkPantheress' "Passion" during a similar round because despite the single cover not having a human, the mixtape cover did. Like it's just a crazy loophole and sender if you didn't already please read my Paramore review on how I feel about this! Fortunately for you, I do love this song and even submitted it myself (and slayed with it) in another game elsewhere so points are still up for grabs potentiallyโ€ฆ but I need you to not make this messy ass choice again because loopholes aren't always overlooked, especially when things get down to the pointy end of the competition! Wishing you the best of luck though because you have TASTE at least. CHOP-O-METER: CHOP IN ELIGIBILITY, SLAY IN LIKEABILITY
  12. Lee Jung Hyun - Feel Me! Hated this at first and then I hated it a little less as it went on but I just feel like why are we sending stuff that isn't an instant slay in this round, I don't know! It's kinda Shygirl or new Madonna album territory for me (which I didn't care for) which means this is gonna be right up some people's alleys and you'll be safe asf but for me it's just kinda whatever I'm not feeling strongly either way sorry. CHOP-O-METER: MINOR CHOP
  13. After - Deep Diving Yes After, yes points but y'all are KILLING me with these choices. "300 dreams" was right there like the autowin you could have hadโ€ฆ I just don't understand, it boggles the mind. Anyways, I've made it clear how I feel about panning artists just because they slayed previously so you WILL be Aurewarded since this is maybe my second or third fave song of theirs, truly a blissful piece of nostalgic goodness. CHOP-O-METER: DEEP DIVING INTO SLAY WATERS
  14. Great Time - Dag'ron This was BEYOND horrible, I'm sorry but I don't even have a word in my vocabulary to properly convey how horribly I felt about this songโ€ฆ there was maybe thirty seconds towards the end that wasn't a complete abomination, but that's absolutely not going to be enough to get my points I'm sorry to say. Do better if you make it through this round bestie. CHOP-O-METER: HORRIDIOUS COW OF A CHOP
  15. aespa - Camouflage It's cutesy and I like aespa and all but "Switchblade" was right there ma'am. Like that's where it's at, that's theee bopianka on this album idk. This will probably still be getting my points as it's at least a bit more interesting than the Shygirl songs so well done sender. Look now I'm stealing from Bags' review nachos. CHOP-O-METER: NOT A CHOP BUT MISSED THE SLAY BUTTON BY TWO TRACKS
  16. Lemaitre - Rocket Girl (feat. Betty Who) One of the most dated sounding songs I've ever heard in one of these gamesโ€ฆ I am a Betty Who fan though so I'm kinda conflicted. Like I love that Aussie lady. But I've never heard this song (and I guess for a reason because it's a dated mess and she sounds screechy likeโ€ฆ if y'all had a problem with Dua's "Falling Forever" idk how you could like this but anyways). I wish I could say, "yes Betty, yes points," but in this case even she wasn't enough to save this for me. But I kinda want this sender to survive because I feel like they have cute pop leaning taste so lemme see what I can do about points. #thinking CHOP-O-METER: CHOP BUT IN AN ENDEARING WAY
  17. Shygirl - mr useless (with SG Lewis) The exact same song as the previous one just in a different fontโ€ฆ I will say, SG Lewis did bring a little something something extra to this one that Shygirl is simply incapable of bringing by herself. The vibe was vibing. More likely to make my top ten than the previous song, but I still don't consider this a strong song in any sense of the word. It's like you're reheating posty's "HEAT" nachos but without Tove's special salsa to make them taste better than mediocre. CHOP-O-METER: A FAINT WAFT OF CHOP WITH A SPRINKLING OF SLAY SEASONING
  18. Shygirl - 4eva (with Empress Of) Not much to say about thisโ€ฆ never cared for Shygirl and to me this is just very bland and basic but it's probably going to be good enough for points in this round since some of these girls really played in our faces. CHOP-O-METER: I'M NOT A CHOP, NOT YET A SLAY
  19. Fiona Apple - Not About Love Who on earth thought it was a good idea to send this ladyโ€ฆ I hope u go home (2). CHOP-O-METER: THE CHOPPIEST CHOP THAT EVER DID CHOP
  20. Genia - 10 Out Of 10 Oh this queen motherโ€ฆ I remember stanning her so bad during like 2024 and then she kinda fell off and stopped serving ever since. Her ability to do that must be studied. Fortunately for you, sender, this song was from her 2024 peak year and is an absolute CLASSIQUE in the Aurora household, whew. The Ciara "1, 2 Step" vibes are SO strong in this one and I love them down. You will be Aurewarded!! CHOP-O-METER: 10 OUT OF 10 INDEED
  21. Doss - Strawberry Girl you know what, I'm so sorry but I actually tried to get into this for you bc it seemed like something I'd potentially vibe with but it was just NOT a vibe outside of like, maybe a minute in the middle there which was kinda After'd, ninety seconds if I'm being generous. Overall, it just wasn't enough to make this a strong enough entry to ever consider giving my points I'm afraid. CHOP-O-METER: MODERATE CHOP
  22. ChiChi - Love Me Not (Shamelessly stealing from Kyuti's vernacular here but it's warranted) FAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWK, I didn't expect to see ChiChi here but I've been a fan of hers for a while now and she is yet to disappoint! I actually hadn't heard this particular song as it predates when I discovered her, and unless I'm like, totally obsessed down with an artist, I rarely go back through and listen to their discography before they existed in my mind's eye, but this was very cute and not too dissimilar from her current music to make me feel like this was a bad choice. Thank you for being the first song in the playlist I truly enjoy, you will be Aurewarded!! CHOP-O-METER: CHOP ME NOT
  23. Phantogram - When I'm Small Absolutely dreadful. Possibly one of the worst things I've had to sit through during my (relatively short) time in this competition. I can see why their album is called Eyelid Movies, because I couldn't help but want to close my eyes and dissociate while listening to this since I'd rather be doingโ€ฆ literally anything else. CHOP-O-METER: CRITICAL CHOP
  24. Paramore - Fences X (formerly Twitter)media (@bivandekamp) on Xi was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you how dare you tyra banks meme reaction yellingSender, please stick around until the end because spoiler: this is NOT a (completely) negative review. But whew, there's so much to unpack here. When I saw Paramore get banned I was thinking, wow this player is SMART. Bands are kinda a cheat code when it comes to humanless album covers, and Paramore are one of the most accessible options out there for the ATRL girlies. I checked the banned list to see what my competition was, and low and behold I realized "Playing God", one of my favourite tracks from one of my favourite albums, Brand New Eyes, was eligible here despite (rightfully) slaying in VL last season. I was so sure that was going to be your entry. Then the playlists get posted. I'm sorry chook, but if you require the host making a public disclaimer to clarify that your song is indeed eligible despite clearly having humans on the current album cover, it's not a top-tier entry! Idk who you are or how many times you have played these games, but since you're gonna be surviving this round, just know the competitiveness of the players right now is only at likeโ€ฆ a 60% at best. Things are only going to get more and more competitive from here and people who are happy to turn a blind eye to this loophole in this round may not be feeling so generous in the future when their life in the competition is on the line! So well done to this sender because after three listens I did enjoy this but I am going to need you to not make such a #riskyaf choice next round bc you had a clear win with "Playing God" and lowkey fumbled it. CHOP-O-METER: TRACES OF CHOP
  25. Unnecessary disclaimer nobody asked for (2): After last round, it's apparent people are getting a bit creative with their reviews, so after I was too nice last round and it got me nowhere I'm feeling a little playful too! The following reviews are an over-dramatized caricature of my thoughts and meant to be taken in good fun. โœจ Also this round was far less restrictive as to which songs from eligible projects we could submit, so if I think you had better options, I will not be overlooking that!
