This is a Janet Jackson appreciation thread. Can we talk about how she literally invented the army, sex and choreos?. You all better put some respect in her name. This song alone sh*ts on all of our faves.

Incredible discography, amazing taste, very underrated vocalist, fantastic dancer, icon, mother, angel, queen of music videos, gay icon, outstanding stage performer, creator of some of the world's best albums, etc... and Taurus (happy Taurus season!)

I'll post some of my many favourite Janet moments:

It's almost been a year since the announcement of her iconic European tour :jonny5:

All those records she broke for her Rhythm Nation album and tour. Whew!!

Yes, cause being the sister of the biggest music act ever…damn :flame::jonny6:

not everyone has that :clap3:

the rest of her persona/career is extremely local and forgotten tho.

You know what, FutureSpam? Keep making threads. you alright by me, baby.

Yes she will!  Classics on classics on classics! :clap3:

If is THEE MPG blueprint. If it weren't for that song, the entire TRL generation wouldn't exist :sistrens:

Actually Super Bowl04 is her best perf ever.

She killed AFY, RN and Justin's song. Her dominatrix energy. :jonny:

It's also the most memorable performance of all time, by any artist.

The lesser girls could literally never.

ALSO put some respect on her last album, one of my favorite late album by a legendary pop diva

If needs to go viral the same way Someone to Call My Lover did.

!!! Especially the dance break

Her recent albums deserves appreciation too, especially Unbreakable :jonnycat: The title track, Night, 2 B Loved, Take Me Away, The Great Forever >>>>>

Her run from Control to Damita Jo will never be topped. 18 years of immaculate albums.

I hope Someone To Call My Lover going viral is just the beginning of the newer generations discovering Janet's discography.

She's kinda underrated by the my/newer generation. People always talk about Madonna, deservingly so, but I do believe Janet deserves to be praised equally for what they've done for music in the 80s and 90s.

For me yes, exactly that what you posted, the If era, That's the way love goes - she is that bish forever!

BUT! She was that bish even before that! She was my first massive pop/love/crush. Miss you much,Black cat, Love will never do - just a timeless 10 out of 10
