I could see her doing interludes eventually, but not on a thirteen track album.

Hmmm this is really interesting to know… it worries me a bit, but ok. Cruel Summer is an excellent song and only has 3 minutes so ok. But I guess that rumor of a 7 minute song is probably wrong (not that I ever believed a print out of nowhere)

It says 'stories of 13 sleepless nights' in the description of Midnights, so no interludes.

I really hope she doesn’t release a thing during the current Grammy period. I always thought to be odd how she used to receive nominations for her first singles from Red and 1989 during one Grammy and the album nominations during the next one. Imagine if SIO was released during the same Grammy period of the album? Maybe she would have snatched the SOTY alongside the AOTY. I don’t know… we will never know, that could’ve changed her whole history, but one can fantasize.

I don’t want many collaborations on 13 track album max 2-3. Just don’t like collabs overall. And interludes would be too much on 13 track album.

She was nominated for both SOTY & ROTY with Blank Space the next year anyway, which is a much stronger song.

Working with many producers is fine but just don’t want collabs with other artists.

I honestly don’t want any vocal collabs on a 13 track album, maybe just one if there has to be one or just subtle background vocals. 

I think @Jaspurr is right, this album allows her to craft a “Deluxe” version later on down the line if she wants to — a common tactic from most artists nowadays. She’s only done a deluxe post-album release once before I believe, with Fearless. I think it would give her another week top 5 once she’s slipped out, if not #1 assuming things line up perfectly for her depending on the timing of such a hypothetical release.

I agree. I think it would be great if she worked with female producers and engineers but please only 1 or 2 vocal collabs.

I don't see how a Deluxe edition would fit. The concept of the record is to be about 13 sleepless nights. It wouldn't make sense to add other songs because it would clash with the original narrative of the album. Idk but I would find it weird if all of a sudden she went like "oh btw, here 2 new songs about 2 other sleepless nights that I had". Is it just me?

I mean, I’m sure she’s had more than 13 sleepless nights in her life. I didn’t take the statement of “this album is about 13 sleepless nights” to be so set in stone that there won’t be any album outtakes or future deluxe tracks. But I get where you’re coming from.
