  1. Opalite as 2nd single is the best choice. Can't wait to see the MV! I would love Father Figure with a mafia MV next.
  2. It's clearly she's on the White House radar, unlike most artists, so most likely she got the same message as other political opponents: "If you speak up, you will lose your security". So, she will be carefully about when to speak up, becasue if she does she will lose her security. And you can only do that once.
  3. Oh, TayMafia. It's her Italian background, I guess.

I hope she has a happy birthday! The response to the doc is pretty great so far. I expect it to be worse because the astroturfing, but it's another failed attempt.
  5. I think everyone with a brain already knew it, because it was rather obvious.
  6. This. They call her a polarizing figure, but when you look at what Taylor has done and said in the past 20 years, it's a ridiculous claim. That's also the reason why she could survive a huge hate campaign like 2016. And why the hate campaign attempt in the past month didn't really work.
  7. These expectations are too high. I think it's just a camera crew following her and her team during the last leg of the tour (October till December 2024) and some footage from March 2023 till October 2024 her team filmed themselves.

I wonder if she has anything planned between now and the documentary.
  9. Yes, and I knew right away
  10. Holy Ground, State of Grace, Haunted, Story of Us, Long Live, All Too Well but different Perhaps Cowboy Like Me but rockier. I hope she writes all songs with her acoustic and electric guitars, and not piano.
  11. Usually, she uses criticism of her previous album to write a new one. But I think she's doing something special for TS13. I think she might go back to her roots (country) or she will try a new genre (rock). I would love it if she did both and made a country rock album.
  12. I love the album, but perhaps because I didn't really expect uptempo pop bangers. It seems to me that it's impossible to combine uptempo pop bangers with Folklore-like lyrics. I think Ophelia and Opalite will become classics. They're absolutely amazing. Her best singles since Blank Space and her best lead single since Love Story. Her discography needed that. I think people will think differently about the album in a year or two, because they'll forget about their expectations. And I do think a lot of the hate was a targeted hate campaign that used Taylor for their culture war. Taylor Swift is an icon, and they use her to sway public opinion. It works like this: Step 1) they take a small trigger (necklace, AI, lyric, or outfit). Step 2) they frame it with negative connotations (N*zi, hypocrite, capitalist). Step 3) negative posts get more engagement and are more promoted by social media platforms. Step 4) the media picks up the trend and writes about it. Step 5) the result is public confusion and moral panic (Did the haters go crazy, or did she intend it?). Step 6) the bot farms measure the speed of the outrage, the group's sensitivity, and behavior change metrics. Steps 4 and 5 pretty much flopped this time for the most part, which is an improvement compared to 2016. So, it could have been worse.
  13. Gaylors want Taylor to be gay. They're upset she's dating men.
