I like Headphones on because it's very Madonna's Inside of me, and wanted to check this album out, but seeing it's only 33 minutes long, I'm not gonna bother. That's not an album.

Artist presale tickets secured! I'm seeing her in Dublin on June 3rd jonny2 Just after I go to Mighty Hoopla

it dawned on me the other day that not only did she release one of the greatest pop albums of all time....

....she's gonna outdo herself.

she's gonna TOP THAT ALBUM.

I hope she puts out some droplets and collabs next year and then kicks off the AR2 era in 2027

She needs to release a new album this year. I know it's very fast but that's what aritsts do when they blow up. Droplets would be fine too as long as it keeps her name out there

yeah we either need a new album Q4 next year (with singles in between for her festival run) or a cute deluxe before march

The best albums of 2025

"Addison". By Addison Rae

The breakout pop album of 2025. Addison Rae, a former TikTok star, pays tribute to musical forebears including Britney Spears and Lana Del Rey, but has a dreamy style all her own.

not The Economist stanning clap3

Everyday the album makes a new appearance on a year end least oh Acclaimdison clap3

The acclaim this album gets....

Totally deserved.

Addison managed to mix Instagram culture/Pinterest aesthetic/TikTok gimmicks with elements from iconic pop artists from the 80's/90's/2000's, something that truly miss in today's New Pop playlists.

High Fashion is lowkey the best single besides Headphones On, let's have that discussion

She needs to take her time to craft another flawless masterpiece [2]. Quality takes time and we already have disposable pop stars with that generic slop fodder [2]

The production is INSANE. It's like a yassified Vespertine track. Elvira is a genius.

I'm so happy Rebecca covered FIAG. It fits her so well because of her history but also that cover eats

im so so so happy for her...like i remember in 2022 listening to her unreleases on soundcloud...nothing on and i got it bad-her magnum opus

even obsessed looking back its a bop, ohhh what she's been through and she's still singing

I just watched I Know What You Did Last Summer and Summer Forever was the closing credits song.

The way it catapulted the song from Bottom 3 to my Top 3 now. I can't believe it too so long to grow on me.

Ya she needs another album out by at least early Q4 of next year (if not a lot sooner hopefully)

I'm even fine if it just ends up being an Addison deluxe moment (especially if she ends up winning BNA) , but it would need to be like 6+ extra songs with a strong single she can push. She'd be foolish not to release something next year that can keep people's eyes on her.

#4 on The Guardian's 50 best albums of 2025

Once derided as a former TikTok dancer who made ill-fated attempts to break beyond the platform, Addison Rae's fortunes changed last summer when Charli xcx invited her to collaborate on a remix, washing away the sticky juvenilia of her social media fame. Her debut album offered up dreamy synthpop that was weirder and more interesting than expected. Opener New York begins sounding floaty and fizzy, but ends in a pummelling explosion of chaos; High Fashion and Times Like These were an experimental hallucination of trip-hop and R&B. The fact that Arca remixed Aquamarine says it all. The pleasures Rae sang about, however, were far simpler. The gauzy, romantic Summer Forever distils the vibe: how fun it is, to be "young, dumb and cute / Nothing to lose"; the record's mix of hedonism and nostalgia, its proud anti-lore depthlessness and hunger for sensation feel like extremely 2025 techniques for distraction and survival.
