katy is going on the blue origin new shepherd which has had 10 successful crewed flights since 2021, she will be fine

See this is why I said in that other thread about her trip that I just don't trust space travel from private companies yet. Their motivation ALWAYS goes back to profit, so it's not hard at all to imagine they'd label something as safe and ready to go when it's not quite there yet but still probably safe enough for a majority of trips, just enough so that the profit from the ones that go smoothly will more than cover the ones that end disastrously. There's always risk with space travel, but I feel like that risk shoots up if it's provided by a private company.

My jaw dropped a little because I could well see it...

Blue Origin has been having safe flights since 2021, so I guess yes. Only once during 2023 an explosion happened on an unmanned, TEST flight for a brand-new rocket.

I thought she was going on the Jeff Bezos one?

She is, a simple google search would tell the OP that Space X and Blue Origin are not the same company. This is what she is gonna do,

This looks so cool omg

Thinking of that TikTok of Gayle King crying about going into space saying she's scared, I wonder how she feels reading this news. :skull:

Same thing happened when Ga Ga was supposed to go in space during Artpop. Pop girls shoudn't go in space it is not safe

I was kinda hoping I had hallucinated the news of her going to space but :snowman:

Katy what are you doing you do NOT want to be a firework

I dont care if she goes down in history books. I want her to reject that space trip :giraffe:  praying she does
the thought of katy exploding like a firework in space makes me puke and faint.
I want her safe and happy with her family and releasing like 10x albums in the future.
