NOOOOOOOOOOOOO- Ariana Grande is now officially an Emmy nominee
I don't know if it has already been mentioned here, but Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo finally got credited for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) for Wicked: One Wonderful Night as principal performers and hosts, after the award was initially only credited to the producers. The Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) is now full of pop girlies, with Sabrina Carpenter (The Muppet Show) and Taylor Swift (Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show) also being nominated. Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable The Muppet Show: Sabrina Carpenter nominated as a producer/performer. Nikki Glaser: Good Girl Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show: Taylor Swift nominated as a producer/performer. Wicked: One Wonderful Night: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo nominated as hosts/performers. Honestly, I think there is a high chance of one of them winning, with Dave Chappelle and Nikki Glaser obviously being spoilers. Remember that this is the category where past pop girlies like Adele and Cher have already won. Source- SYG: 2026

- Why does La Toya lie about being a Grammy winner?
No actually, otherwise Diana Ross would be a Grammy winner too (notice how the closest women to MJ have a Grammy curse)- Why does La Toya lie about being a Grammy winner?
It's 2026 and it's finally time to shine a light on the truth on one of the biggest lies ever said in music history. Everything began in 2012 (the year the world was supposed to end, remember?) when Wendy Williams questioned La Toya Jackson's musical talent. Michael Jackson's most famous sister quickly corrected her and said that back in 1984 she was nominated for a Grammy for writing the song "Reggae Night" by Jimmy Cliff and the next year she actually won, when Cliff's album Cliff Hanger won the Grammy for Best Reggae Recording. (around minute 07:45) Well that's a big fat lie! What La Toya doesn't know (or pretend to) is that the recipients of Best Reggae Recording (now named Best Reggae Album) are the performing artist and the producer who composed more than half of the record. In fact, if you search La Toya Jackson on the Grammy's website, the only result is a video of her besides Michael when he won AOTY: https://www.grammy.com/search/La%20Toya%20Jackson Why does La Toya lie so much?
