i wonder how this 80s throwback , Janet-esque sound is gonna work for her commercially , but i don't mind it so far ! hope she still has real rap moments on the album tho too

I think if anyone who can help bring that sound back to the forefront, it'll be her

We're really getting Planet Her 2.0, us cash grab stanners won so hard

Like. She looks so POP and the production? Whew it sounds so crisp

Her Loud is truly here :WAP:

This really could be her loud moment, the way we all predicted this during the scarlet rollout :WAP:

and that's my point :giraffe:

decade long identity crisis #idk. she seems to be growing out of it though considering that hot pink anniversary post

I think it's because she sits on the music for such a long time…she's over it by the time it gets to us.

This album feels like it was recorded rather quickly, so maybe she's won't do it this time.

I make music too, and I'm damn near sick of my songs before I can finish them :ahh:

(esp when you produce/mix them…listening to it over and over and over again tweaking ****  )

Sorry but am I the only one who finds it pretty insincere that she is suddenly going back to pop music after spending the entirety of the Scarlet era bashing pop as a genre, saying her early pop efforts were just "cash grabs" and basically insinuating pop is not a respectable genre?

Like I genuinely want to know what happened to that attitude? Was it just a joke or does she need another hit? :coffee2:

She needs to stop teasing and release it already. I already know Vie will be my AOTY. :WAP:

no like it's genuinely embarrassing, she could've at least dropped more than 1 "rap" album before crawling back to pop after spending 2 years bashing it:bibliahh:

She clearly has a vision for this album and has a story to tell. This doesn't give "cash grab" as this album will have much more substance and be a cohesive body of work than her previous albums.

(Hence her trying her hardest to rework Crack to fit into Vie, ultimately scrapping it and releasing it as a website exclusive for the gays who won't stop begging for it)

This sounds fresh !

Here to relaunch a new trend of music à la Say So.

The wig, the pop sound, the film/editing

Popja really is back

This ad did just the trick and is generating a lot of buzz online. I hope this gives her team the push to finally put something out and go from there. Can't go wrong with JT or Cards IMO.

Eh. Needing another hit is not even close to the reason, considering PTTR was a smash and everybody I know ******* loves Agora Hills. My girl needing a hit will never be the case because she always drops something with crack in it.

This album so far doesn't even feel like it's "going back to pop". The sounds so far definitely are giving throwback and still with a sense of creativity. Not the generic styles of Say So & Kiss Me More which were cheesy asf and not ones I care to revisit often or at all.

Her structure and delivery is pretty consistent across majority of her music, sans some outliers on Scarlet so it's never been that serious of a criticism of her entire discography I think. Moreso the stuff she did with Luke and people saying she wasn't a rapper made her crash out with the things she was saying.
