We're really getting Planet Her 2.0, us cash grab stanners won so hard

this sounds very good

i just hate how she spent an entire rollout sh*t talking this type of music just to go back to it not even 1 album later, like why is she always going through some sort of identity crisis

WHAT in the 80s synthpop Prince-produced BLISS is this?! Vanity 6 tea

What in the Shep Pettibone remix is this?!

that was her alter ego

this is the one for me, easily going to be in her top 10… i'm foaming for it :clap3:

Sounds so freaking good. :WAP: Love that she's going for this more Prince 80s funk vibe for her album, rather than the overdone synthwave Weeknd/Ava sound.

So many options for the lead!

Can we please move on from these collabs and get down to business :deadbanana:

POPJA is back and it sounds like a hit :jonny6:

Just when I was thinking we may not have a song of the summer this year

i wonder how this 80s throwback , Janet-esque sound is gonna work for her commercially , but i don't mind it so far ! hope she still has real rap moments on the album tho too

Just because it's Pop doesn't mean it's the same…it's a whole new concept/sound (80s Paula Abdul/Janet esque).

She **** talked Amala when HP was released…same w/ HP when PH was released, etc.  This is just what she does…

and that's my point :giraffe:

decade long identity crisis #idk. she seems to be growing out of it though considering that hot pink anniversary post

this! + if we want to dissect this a bit further, the fact most people forget that the "cash grab" comments already were stemming soon after Planet Her's release all the way back in 2021 when she talked about the album's creation as an obligation from day 1 in an interview... an album she "had to make" etc. makes everything after feel way more purposeful and artistically driven rather than the main purpose of its existence being for commercial success. I'm sure the fact she had to pawn off half of the album's writing credits to Luke so he didn't need to show up on Scarlet / Claude just adds more salt to the wound. dd. :toofunny2:

In other words, everything post-PH feels like music Doja wants to make and that must be way more fulfilling than anything she's done before for both her and the fans.

Her going full 80s Prince/Janet for her "return to pop" record instead of riding current trends seems to be another dead giveaway that she's doing this on her own terms, thank god.
