Is it safe to say the 'dated discography' argument is a thing of the past, or do you still believe her catalogue didn't age well?

Of course it's dated it starts in 2009.

 

Y'all just think dated is inherently insulting lol. Just cause you use it that way doesn't mean everyone thinks of it like that. 

It was just another narrative of the lowlife OGHs.  Her streaming power and these huge numbers are the only fact we need  
 

I mean The fame charts within the top 80 on the bb 200 this week iirc. 

Out of the nine songs on that list that did 1 million or more streams on Spotify yesterday, three are from the 00s, three are from the 10s, and three are from the 20s. 
 

Not only is her discography remembered, but the remembered songs in it are pretty well distributed  

So her biggest hits from her peak are getting the most streams? Shocker

Being "dated"/attributable to a specific time in music was never an indicator of quality anyway. Her bangers will never age and as the pop music scene continuously gets more boring they become more and more needed.

Oh wow, this really puts things into perspective. Looks like people continued to check for her constantly since her debut 

dated means of its time not bad quality. her hits are getting rediscovered and aging well tho. 

TF, TFM and BTW came in fresh and hold up well. Artpop-Chromatica were dated upon arrival with a few exceptions here and there, but that's not totally a bad thing. 

Dated means fad and forgotten. So NO.

It's crazy that we're in 2025 and so many ATRLers are still using the word "dated" without even understanding its meaning. Dated is not an insult to claim a song is bad or unlistenable, it means it aged and sounds of its time. Every single one of our faves has some dated songs and yes, many of Lady Gaga's singles are dated.

Never has been, never will be. Suck on that fagurts!

ARTPOP is her only album imo that sort of falls victim to the sounds of its time (that loud period of EDM influenced pop music) 

 

Even so that's not necessarily a bad thing, and it's possible that sound could come back like recession pop/maximalist pop is now. 

Perfect Illusion was already milk when it came out.
