LSFM peaked with ANTIFRAGILE; HOT was such an anticlimactic MV and song.

The "Hot" stage is getting a good response.  Sometimes simpler is better.

This is Oh My Girl at debut

From Flying Ballon, a whole Marching Band, Merch Clothing and Sponsored Watches (they actually had cfs at debut). I wouldn't call Oh My Girl anything close to nugu, plus I'm sure Nonstop wasn't their first #1 either.

And some are surprised to hear WM became insolvent in 2017. :fan:

The tax grant for starting a Kpop Company is still valid to this day, and since 2023 there is also a tax grant to create video content that will promote Korea in the global market, which includes, Music Videos, Dramas and Movies and Even some performances in some places.

Tax grants don't help when you flop.  So they really only help those companies that never flop.  Which is how most "free market" governments work.

no shade but i'm afraid hybe will come after aespa next.

They're going to have to buy Kakao's entertainment division first for that to happen in a similar fashion.  And it would happen just to boost Starship, which was founded by an ex Bighybe exec.

Depends on if they care to resolve activities in Korea because as of now they are not allowed to do stuff in Korea

The song is called "Tip Toe" so of course you lose a shoe on stage.

they still posted a teaser yesterday tho? was it ever going to go on streaming or was it just for the performance? what if they just go through without thinking of the consequences  :dancehall:  that would lowkey be iconic though

It's more nuanced than that… NJ is NJ because of MHJ and they were trying to force her out. She is literally the only one who would make sure they didn't get shelved. It's very obvious that once they outed MHJ that NJ was going to get like one comeback a year for obligatory reasons and essentially turn into CF models so HYBE could at least make money while not promoting them.

was this messy? Absolutely, but it's completely naive and frankly stupid to think NJ wouldn't have been ruined regardless. HYBE is the problem and always has been because of that fat Oompa Loompa bang PD.

so pretty much what happens to all GG's. Well if NJ case corrects this i am down for it but i doubt it tbh

who even mentioned western validation lmao?? and mind you people barely gaf about kpop even here in korea!! except for a few (girl) groups of course!! and i find it sad because it's quite literally the main pop music stage. the actual singer songwriter aren't doing proper pop music and it's a shame the main pop stage is a huge minor exploitation system where singers have no creative freedom whatsoever. and ofc i know some cases are happening in other markets, but it's SOME cases. whereas in kpop over 95% of "artists" are slaves.

but i'm not surprised my post triggered you. your avi is literally from a show that was described as "legal and healthy *****graphy" by its producer :rip:

Well u should be cause that avi has nothing to do with me or my tastes :lmao:

U new members know nothing of the history of this thread and u come here spweing nonsense all the time as facts :rip:

That avi was one time only, one day we all here tune in to the show afterthat i didnt even watch the show, i dont even like the guy in the avi, i am just soooooooooooo lazy to change it but i never knew that my whole belief system would be taken for granted JUST by one avi...

Its funny also how u neglect to talk about all the scandals of the western music... Takimg advantage of minors  is what hollywood was built upon to

and girl who u lie about korea not caring about kpop? :lamo: maybe u and your pseudoidelectual friends dont, but one visit in Seoul and its like u land in kpop land :fan:

why mind online stan wars when in reality you're supported by a big crowd of cool people :flower:

The selective activism of this thread is so funny.

Still to this day everytime i bring the riggory of Pooduce48 i am getting laughed and people comment "well yeah but we got bops" but now that their bunny faves felt insecure cause the CEO didnt greet them they are making thesis on how kpop is vile and the worst thing on this planet and somehow they act as if this is happening only in kpop.

idk but I'd rather the girls just do that than basically having their careers ruined in SK :weeps:

you're overreacting, they are loved in Korea (see: advertisers are still interested in working with them) and the fight is not over

main hearing starts on 3rd April - if you watched The Time interview with the girls that took place in the beginning of March, you will see that the tone was already set to them losing the injuction

don't lose hope and keep supporting the girls, they need it more than ever

no word on that, but knowing them they might just perform it and drop it a month later - it's in line with what they did before

other than that the situation is unstable and we don't know how much they would need to pay in damages, they're already performing under NJZ name, selling own merch…

wait who is that fraud member that got rigged into izone?

a little over an hour to NJZ debut!

people are getting ready

okay?? and i said i knew there were scandals in the west also? the difference is that in the west the artists still had more freedom and actually publicly rebelled against their label and they could still release music also. kesha was trashtalking luke in her music. taylor rerecorded her songs. gaga publicly rebelled, leaked her own songs and so on. one group wants to work with a particular producer and they get banned from the industry, do you think that's comparable?? :rip:

also mind you, there are markets competing with korea that aren't western markets. idk where tf you got that western validation thing.

and can you give me groups that ACTUALLY have a stable relevance in korea beside

aespa

newjeans

ive

and gidle? :rip:

"kpop land" and you just walked in hongdae and even there everything has been replaced by japanese pop culture lol big animate stores popping here and there and when there's a kpop event thing going on it's mostly foreign fans. all the billboards that you see are paid by chinese fans too

i'm not saying it's completely irrelevant, it  just massively fell off and it's mostly 4~5 relevant girl groups and the rest is like either otaku's pick level of flop or completely carried by foreign stans.
