I saw on reddit someone saying that we would've collectively rejected Happy by Pharrell if it was released today and that made me think if TLOAS reception is something similar to that hypothesis, Taylor is kinda at her peak in all areas of her life, and TLOAS reflects that 100%, while the world feels like it's at its worst and the dissonance makes perfect sense.
