I think people are being a bit hard on the H2H girls. Is way too early to know how the group will turn out.

And I'm saying this as someone who is not interesed in their debut. 

 

Kinda reminded me how every post about aespa was so negative back in 2020 when they were announced and we were getting info about their concept.

Remember people saying Winter was the filler member because all she did predebut was swing a sword around and look cute?

I think for me the problem is not the girls themselves necessarily but the way SM is handling the pre-debut so far.

 

They are not showing anything serious about the girls themselves. I think if we saw what talents and skills they had in action, it would shut down a lot of the haters. Then, secondly, the concept so far has been weak. Just releasing teaser images isn't really cutting it for a major group debut. 

 

With RV, we knew the concept was bright and quirky immediately, but we also already knew the girls were talented, as WENDY had shown outstanding vocals on a pre-debut OST and guitar playing and IRENE & SEULGI showed a dance performance and appeared in MVs for other SM idols, so we already knew they would serve.

 

It's the same for aespa, they immediately showed NINGNING's singing and GISELLE's rap. KARINA's dance was criticized yes and it's true they didn't show much of WINTER, but they still showed more than anything we have seen from H2H so far in aespa's first few teasers. 

 

Personally, I just need SM to give us more. Everything is just too vague and seems off, but for me it's a concept problem so far, not the girls themselves. Obviously if they all turn out to be untalented then there's gonna be a problem... But we just don't know yet.

Good points. SM has been very lackluster with the content they have prepared so far. Big part of the reason why I'm not interested about the group.

 

I was addressing more the comments about the girls lacking star power. There is not much they could show in what SM presented so far.

On the star power comments, I agree SM just hasn't shown enough yet to say that. The teasers just aren't really telling us anything about the group, it's just visuals. 

 

For me, even once they debut I will be watching to see how they progress before seriously judging. SM GGs always take maybe a year to fully warm up based on past groups.

I miss these days of SM, they really delivered ART as the standard. Each concept was so well thought out.

 

 

 

 

they fell off imo (look at H2H teasers...)  but still the best company in K-Pop

Yeah, people are always ready to hate on the next SM girlgroup. It happened with SNSD, f(x), and Red Velvet.

 

I don't get how some people can complain about how aespa was  treated and then proceed to do the same to H2H

I think Jennie's music is my most favorite overall so far but Lisa's New Woman is #1 solo song still. That said, BP's solo music >>>>>>> group

H2H  from teasers to each member's visual is not really clicking with me but not counting them out yet, gotta wait for the music! Kiii Kiii tho got me so excited already  and thinking how starship never disappoint me when it comes to bops 

I actually like everything about H2H except Ye-On is a crazy visual hole. But that's to be expected because she's a 14 year old girl. I'm sure she'll be serving in four years, but she should have been the leader of the next group instead of the maknae of this one. There's no excuse to ever have a member under 16. I get that they want the group to continue after the 7 year mark, but this is a little ridiculous.

Bc it's giving NUGU. The identity coming across is very vague and too generic right now, especially when expectations for SM groups are high like  replace this with Triple S and Kepler and no would even noticed.  

 

While aespa got immense hate train but they were making buzz everywhere and their concept was solid since day 1. 

 

H2H are just there, there's rarely anyone is talking nor curious about them.

False comparison when it's been crickets for this girls. The only people criticising their lackluster presentation and visual direction are mostly just here and twitter, go to Korean sites and it's mostly praises and at times mixed opinions
