will we see a shift soon?

The biggest groups are BP and BTS and you think they are famous thanks to their singing skills :rip:

well they have been getting a lot more money coming in with rosé's, ADP and Kpop demon hunters' success
TBL will only get bigger and more hungry for success if they keep winning like this :jonnycat:

You know when you put it like that, I'm really happy that Kpop Demon Hunters success will lead to more opportunities for everyone at TBL especially Somi with her new movie :alexz3:

Speaking of MEOVV, 24mil views....their first hate train is here

I can't :hoetenks:

:bibliahh: I was on Youtube and just saw their little content stream they were doing, I had totally forgotten myself

I wonder what lead to THEBLACKLABEL changing up their strategy with them honestly. Felt like the entire label suddenly woke up this year because they've been juggling ADP and MEOVV pretty well since MEOVV is already teasing a comeback.

Have you seen all the hints? They keep mentioning fire/hot and Gawon said in her new L'Officiel interview it's a new genre to MEOVV. :jonny5: The choreography they said is their most beautiful yet too. I have a really good feeling about this comeback

honestly i always felt like they were expecting an immediate success (like BP) but after seeing the results and the reactions from fans, they decided to change their strategy :foxaylove3:

i hope they play their cards right for the next comeback, we have only IVE and aespa smashing (both established) and there is an empty space for new girl groups. meovv can take advantage of that and get a bigger hit :jonny5:

they're the GOATs but new groups with a bp/bts image are not seeing immediate success like they did years ago

times have changed :gaynetcat4:

Still remarkably low budget BUT the discourse about this comeback would have been way kinder if they'd released this first.

For the 500th time, KDH songs are a hit b/c they are tied to a successful movie, not because they are kpop.

Frozen's Let It Go would not have been massive had it not been in the movie.

What's not clicking people?

:khalyan2:

If individuality, relatable lyrics/themes and big vocal moments was all that was needed for a kpop song to go #1 on Billboard then this should have been #1 for 6 months straight! :coffee2:

I guess it's a rights issue with Netflix and all, but why didn't they capitalize on Demon Hunters? They could've done something like Plave and turned it into a real group… Or at the very least, they could've commercialized the lightsticks we see in the movie.

That would've been the perfect gift for my nephew who literally watches the movie every weekend.

There was an article that said there are two sequels, a live-action remake, and a stage musical in the works, and the merchandising is coming.  The live-action remake would involve making actual groups, you would think.  It just hasn't been done because they didn't know they were going to be able to do this.  The first merchandise were rando plushie stuffs netflix had made as "thanks" to the employees.

I see really big things for them in the future. They're a great well-rounded group of girls, their music is versatile, and their first EP selling well was a pleasant surprise. The next few years are gonna be so exciting to follow as a fan :bird:

omg not this finally leaking i used to pray for days like this

i really wish they kept the amount of bass in this one

JYP should've went with this first :doc: a shame the girls waited so long just to get this kind of amateur material.

This what makes SNSD the Goat of them all. They really had the hits and talent to back it up.:jonny5:

Just a reminder that SNSD has the most iconic live stages to ever grace kpop and they will forever be the nation's GG. :giraffe:

No one does fan chants like SONES. :giraffe:
