It's needs to be studied how some people manage to make ATEEZ seem bigger than what they actually are. I always cringe when Atinys try to place them above ENHYPEN or TXT - especially considering ATEEZ have never charted on the Global Spotify chart. While Atinys are definitely a dedicated fanbase, their support doesn't always translate into real life success except for Twitter hype.

I think we just need to accept and make peace with the fact that JYP will never treat Jeongyeon like the lead vocalist she truly deserves to be. It's been 10 years, and nothing has changed. That said, I still find it strange how unfair TWICE's line distributions are compared to other JYP groups like SKZ, ITZY, and NMIXX, who generally have much fairer distributions. Jeongyeon is objectively a stronger singer than anyone in ITZY for example, yet ITZY members often get vocal highlights like high notes and ad-libs, with every member being more utilized. Just look at how Chaeryeong - who's a far weaker vocalist than Jeongyeon - is given moments to shine vocally in ITZY songs, while Jeongyeon barely gets anything in TWICE songs. 

 

If Jeongyeon were given even just a few of Nahyo's lines, TWICE's line distribution would already feel so much more balanced.

Anyways, let's hope we get more solos and unit songs in the future, so we can actually hear Jeongyeon's voice the way it deserves to be heard.

LBR, Twice is in a place that JYP will essentially give them anything they request. I'd be surprised if the girls themselves didn't have a say so in their own line distributions, parts, etc. She must be content with what she gets.

I think one of the things that a lot of fans don’t consider is even though Jeongyeon doesn’t get as many lines, she is the foundation for the background vocals and usually takes the lead harmony using her lower register. That’s very important in the structure of the Twice “sound”. 
 

But yes, it’s very obvious.

It's standard for an artist who's been out for 10 years to want to do less vocally-demanding things and be in the spotlight less. I'm sure Jeongyeon still wants to make money and support the team she's on, but I think it's incredibly clear it's on her terms. I don't see TWICE's line distribution issues the same way I saw SNSD's, for example, when Hyoyeon wasn't allowed to sing because SM executives thought she was ugly. It honestly makes me respect JYPE more and highlights why their artists are choosing to stay.
