Why cannot ATRL afford reliable servers?

ATRL literally has a server problem for a decade now. They changed the provider, they introduced ads but still the servers keep crashing harder than Katy crashing on the charts. Why?

I also don't understand why Ryan doesn't want to introduce some kind of premium membership or member donations to help with the server costs. Some of us are happy to contribute

I think they've said it's the actual owner of the site that's preventing server issues from being fixed?

Atrl owner @Iceland embezzles all the money :bam:

Reddit and its free hosting has killed forums entirely.  ATRL still being alive at all, let alone at this level of activity and impact with such a small niche is borderline unheard of in the 2020s :suburban:

Do they even still offer those paid ATRL+ memberships? Not that it helped much back in the day.

Why is your remark about applause vs roar such an accurate depiction of atrl nnnnnn

Oh, no money would make me agree to host this HELL of a website

ATRL is out of options, I fear

:clack:

i heard the owner is not very accomodating and that's the main block to any substantial changes
