Queen of AI :clap3:

This is a lovely song held back by some really weird mixing, specially on her voice and I don't mean it like her voice sounds bad, not at all. She sounds great but some parts it feels like the audio layer on her voice is very abrasive

Yea something with the mixing or the mastering is off.

Otherwise it's a cute track.

Yeah. You can also tell where they replaced her audio tracks from the demo, like the pre chorus and the strangely loud and poorly mixed "thinking you could find" post-chorus.

180k streams

Mods close this thread and merge with the Holiday Road one! That's the current single!

yeah idk it's a cute song, it just doesn't really do anything to stand out especially coming after something as unique and fun as Joyride. this kinda put a sudden halt to all the goodwill she gained back from Joyride, hopefully she'll realize that's the direction she should stick to for now. get the gays back on board first!

Somebody got the delusional bag tattooed :suburban:

Truly delusional I fear :clap3: outdid Kesha

People in here talking about her "wasting goodwill" with Delusional while she's currently getting her second semi-hit this year with Holiday Road :rip:.

If she had released Boy Crazy now and it wouldn't have matched expectations y'all would have said she "wasted goodwill" by sacrificing this song during the freeze. If she had not released anything else this year, y'all would have said she "wasted goodwill" by letting the Joyride hype fizzle out. We've been there before when everyone begged her to release Tonight only to call it the worst song on High Road later.

Even if you don't like the song, there is no need for this dramatic tone. Be glad she released it now during the christmas freeze while it's getting overshadowed by another song of hers instead of next year.

It's not surprising it's performing the way it does, Delusional sounds straight out of 2012 (in the best possible way), so it's not shocking it's not pulling numbers for a 2024 audience.

Still, it's a great song and a gift for the Warrior stans in particular. She clearly likes this song a lot and it means something to her.

You can't get a hit with every song you release and the album hasn't even been announced yet. It's very odd to see discourse along the lines of "She must release song x with the sound of y now to pull z amount of numbers" after everything she went through. I want her to release the music she likes and not jump on every trend stans think is right only to turn on it later when the plan doesn't work out.

And regarding the cover, it's clear now that there was an idea behind it since she mentioned "fake bags" in her newsletter mail and tied that to her ex. Obviously, you can critize the choice of using AI, but she clearly wasn't just "lazy" and picked the cover for that reason.

I understand your sentiments and intention with your whole post, but in reference to this part specifically... in order for satire like this to work, it needs resonate with the audience. If it takes an entire fandom a week to piece together the logic behind it, paired with a cryptic email to her 1,000+ email subscribers... the schtick didn't land. She's doing herself no favors by not explaining it, and not explaining it outright does make her look lazy and uninvolved, which is kinda lame for her fans.

Say it again!!!

When in the past we faced a situation where she may never be able to release music again, I will very gladly take 1000 Delusional's before I even think about complaining.

Well, I mean, I saw multiple people in this thread alone suggesting this was the idea behind it before the song got released, it seemed quite obvious to me :rip:.

I think if that was the idea regardless of how obvious it was not the 'joke' did not land.

The cover is ugly regardless of the AI. If we're being honest, nothing is hitting visually this era which is disappointing. These days, visuals can literally make or break eras (see Brat) so I wish she reinvests some resources into that. Looking cunty while holding designer bags that she ruined with paint is not the visual gag they think it is.

People in this thread were desperate to make excuses for her using AI. I don't think it's that good of a thermometer. :stare:

Also, what's the price here? She prepared the "joke" with AI artwork, got 10M views on that post alone, but nobody stayed for the fake bag punchline.

girl, this is independent & newly free Kesha we're talking about. If you expect her to do things how she always used to or compare her to what other artists are doing now, then you are clearly missing the whole point of being a fan of her.

Yes, the AI cover is not good. But I can't believe the discourse around it... it doesn't effect any of you, in any way.
