it really needs promo. whilst this song has the markings of dated pop girl dance pop, i think it could go further. but i don't think people are aware that she's released.

i think that's exactly it tbh but i didn't have high expectations anyway.

 

i hate to say it but i think Padam Padam's success was kind of a fluke, a case of hitting at the right time kinda like Miley's Flowers (i'm a fan so i do not mean this is a negative way, just being realistic). PP leading to a bit of a career resurgence (especially in the US) was all we couldve hoped for as Kylie fans but sustaining that momentum was always gonna be difficult. PP was boosted by being such a good viral hit which helped it be ubiquitous for the gays over pride month/summer. it really just hit at the right time

I think this might've hit more if it was released beginning of summer but again i'm not sure we should be expecting another PP level hit from her

 

i mean even Believe for Cher (one of the most iconic comebacks of all time) wasn't able to sustain success for her future singles

This is on track with padams debut. She just needs to release physicals, tik toks, promo and everything else. Maybe they're playing the long game with this single. The album is out in under a month so they probs want the album to do just as well as the single

So now I'm obsessed, It got an amazing beat, her voice is magical and hypnotic and the drop after the refrain is to die for
