I'm gonna have to listen again to form full thoughts but what I know for sure is that I will be deleting Childlike Things the second this pops up in my AM library. 

 

An "Avril Lavigne - Hello Kitty"-sized misstep for her; the worst song of her career. Absolutely abysmal.

 

Thankfully none of the other songs are THAT bad but I also feel comfortable calling this her weakest project so far.

on first listen I loved everything except for KI,HI and Childlike Things. The first one felt like 2 songs in one and the latter is definitely something 💀 truly a choice ngl. 

 

on second listen i totally got Keep It, Hold It. it's also coproduced by Nicolas Jaar and you can tell, it's SO GOOD. i was a bit shocked at first cause the dance part doesn't have a build up, it just hits out of nowhere. but it bops.

Room of Fools 9.5/10 an incredible bop, its giving early Björk on steroids. Loved the final version

Sticky 8.5/10 wish the outro was longer omg but it's an amazing track

Childlike Things 6/10 it might grow on me but its not doing much atm…. def a discography bottom I DONT CARE

Striptease 10/10 like what can i say it's just incredible

24hr Dog 10/10 now this is a discography highlight…. surely top 3 on the album. It's giving ep2/lp1 realness but even better, the intro even reminded me of Vespertine with that white noise i thought it was a sample lol love it

Wanderlust 10/10 her BEST VOCALS EVER oh my ******* god?? and it's not a bland ballad like one might think at first. sounds very disney-ish but nahhh she switched it up with those 90s, early 00s elements of production and even key changes

I also noticed something on GFG. 

 

On the second verse there's this line: "Don't wanna fall asleep, want you to touch it".

Well iirc, the leaked version was "Don't wanna fall asleep, want you to, you to..."

Amazing album, as expected – few artists can take a concept and commit to it / flesh it out to the degree that twigs does. Wanderlust made me cry...

 

My only complaint is that the vocal mix on 24hr Dog sounds too loud and kind of takes away from the very atmospheric feel of the Body is Art version. But lowkey it's probably fine because I've played that performance to death and just got really used to it  

 

As a whole, this album is tamer than I expected (was hopeful there would be more Drums of Death-level experimentalism) but it works.

Childlike Things is a mega bop and the conversation about North being featured is valid but the RYM shoutbox is already taking it too far  it's not THAT serious

I loved it, even Childlike Things is a cute fun bop.

I hear a lot of Björk influence on this album, it's like a sister album to the Debut/Post days, twigs did it again, and knowing there's a deluxe edition is exciting too

babe i love me sum INNA but she wished she had made something like Room of Fools. It's not giving that at all. 

 

But I agree on the first sentence. I mean yes you can tell she found inspo in those raves during some parts of the album but it didn't make any favor to it labelling it like that. It's not like she deep dived in the techno sound

Why are you placing all of the blame on the mother when it was probably the dad who green lit this and is an actual despicable human? Kanye and twigs are featured on the same track, remember?
