Disregard. I remembered she was wearing a red blazer and immediately remembered it was Gabrielle Union.

Request a GIF/Avatar
I'm looking for a gif that was popular on this site in like 2013-15. All I can remember is that a woman was flipping her hair in slow motion - or tipping her head back and shaking her head so that her hair had incredible movement. I can't remember who it was or what they even looked like. My kneejerk reaction is to think it was Naomi Campbell, but that could just be because she's the only person who really encapsulates the aura of what the gif was doing. I know it's not much to go off, but really hoping someone can help. Might have still been used after 2015. I'm not sure because I stopped being an active ATRL member around 2015.

JADE - "Fantasy"
I agree with all of this, but when I talk about "experimentation" and being "cunty", I'm not talking about her songwriting or her vocals. I'm talking about the overall production. I would love to see her collaborate with Jax Jones, Dom Dolla, MNEK, Riton, and Galantis. UK club music is amazing. They know how to produce and amazing remix. My (personal) belief is that what she's delivered (so far) might not deliver the results that we were hoping for, because the production is too left-field for radio. This is what I (personally) wanted from one of their solo projects: I love her to death, but I don't see myself playing the 3 x songs she's released so far very much. If I, as a die-hard stan, am not even playing her 3 x songs very much, then I worry about how much (potential) new fans will be invested…

Is internet dogpiling warping our moral compass?
Yeah, definitely. I feel like all celebrities have adopted this "don't read the comments" mindset, just so they (aka their mental health) can survive. Unfortunately, this has resulted in the outsourcing of all social media responsibilities/platforms. This is now the responsibility of a group of social media coordinators, a.k.a, a group of 26-year-olds in New York or LA who require approvals on EVERYTHING they post. As a result, our favourite artists don't genuinely interact with us anymore… When you think about it, the only real losers in this equation are us, the fans…

JADE - "Fantasy"
Baby, I love Jade DOWN. Always have, always will. I've been a diehard Mixer since 2011. I swear, I watch this clip at least once every 2 weeks (and by "this clip", I mean the scene that starts at 32:37 of this video). And then I fall into a rabbithole of all Little Mix interviews... But the way Jade comforted Jesy (when ALL of England was bullying her) melted my heart. This was literally the moment they went from "the underdogs" and "the next ones out" — to being "The Spice Girls 2.0" / "The girl version of One Direction" / "The first girl group to ever win The X-Factor." It's kinda sad, but Jesy was almost like a sacrificial lamb... The vulnerability of Jesy being "bullied by everyone in the UK" storyline is what turned their popularity around, and helped them win. I've been in love with Jade ever since she tried to comfort "the odd one out." That moment ^ was so, so sweet. I truly believe that, in that moment (when Jade comforted Jesy as she cried and had a panic attack) she (Jade) truly exhibited "girl power" in the social media era. In that moment, Jesy and Jade won the show, and completely changed the lives of all 4 of them…forever. I think that's why I feel so guilty/embarrassed over the whole "she's gaining weight because of HOW MUCH SHE'S EATING" misunderstanding now (from before) because I know their ENTIRE lore from the past 14 years 😭

I'm gonna be honest — I love her to death, but I've expected more from her with the 3 x songs we've heard so far. Like, this is the girl who wrote 'Wasabi'… The taste is there, but I wonder if the budget is there for the producers. She has her finger on the pulse of pop culture, and all 3 x songs have felt "almost there"…but didn't quite climax in the way a conventional pop song should. They're far more experimental than I was expecting. I wanted her to give 'Future Nostalgia'…and everything has been more "Eusexua'. Or maybe not THAT experimental, but still…it hasn't been obvious, conventional pop that would slay the charts. This is cool. It's catchy. It has a vision… But it doesn't have replay value. And I've felt this about all 3 x songs so far. She has to win over the general public, but I keep thinking, "if I wasn't a Jade fan…would I listen to this…?" And the answer to me is…no, I don't think I would… As a little bit of a side-note; it's such an unfortunate day to release new music in the UK. Especially as a soloist who got famous in 2011 from the biggest boy/girl-band in the UK. Apparenty Shawn Mendes and Joe Jonas both delayed their October 18th releases, because industry-insiders told their labels that Harry Styles was going to surprise-release tomorrow. That obviously won't happen now. But I feel like the next 3-4 weeks of releases won't (and shouldn't) get that much attention, especially in the UK…

Girlies, can you please delete my original comment as soon as you get a chance? PLEASE I really don't want to hurt her if she's lurking.

Liam Payne (31) found dead in Buenos Aires
All of this is making me realise that in the 'social media era' every interaction is documented, and it's creating this dichotomy/binary of "this celebrity is a good person" vs. "this celebrity is a bad person!" The reality of the situation is — we ALL have our good moments and our bad moments, especially in our 20s when we're still learning. The difference with celebrities today, is that every time they step outside of their house, it's documented on a hand-held (a.k.a. phone) camera. Or someone can recount their "negative" interaction with you (to Twitter or an online publication) within MINUTES. Imagine how much pressure that would be. The pressure of hundreds, or even thousands, of peoples' jobs on your shoulders, when all you're trying to do is walk from a hotel lobby to a taxi (as fast as you can because you're running late)…and then you log onto Twitter to see that you're "an awful person" and "so rude" because you "wouldn't stop for a picture, with fans who've waited 8 hours!!!" — because jobless assholes camped out and stalked you for an entire day. It must be exhausting to be famous… I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. You honestly could not pay me to live like that.

Better album : Blackout Vs Brat
Yesss…it was truly perfection. 'Toy Soldier', 'Freakshow' and 'Get Naked' all should have been singles. I hate that we don't have professional footage from the surprise "M + M's Tour" — where attendees didn't even know it was Britney. They just lived in L.A and thought it was a free show. The 2000s paparazzi/tabloid culture will never be recreated. They were still navigating the ethics of it. Artists may reference it (like Charli and Slayyyter) but they'll never be able to live it. The only project that captured it was 'Blackout' — and also maybe 'Rumours' by Lindsay Lohan. Incredible song that captured the cultural landscape of that time. Kinda wish it was on Blackout.

ty I love her. I would never want to hurt her feelings with something I said…especially after everything she's done for the gay community over the past 14 years.

Better album : Blackout Vs Brat
Blackout, and Charlie would agree. If Pitchfork ranked Blackout as the #1 album of all time, I wouldn't blink twice. That's the true mark of where pop culture met the underground, and a 24-25 year old girl who didn't care what people thought of her. She just wanted to do drugs in LA nightclubs. Even the original 'Gimme More' video is shot like an aspiring artist with no budget. Charli talks (a lot) about the dichotomy of being a pop star, but also belonging to the underground club scene…but this is the epitome of that. Even if 'brat' Is your favourite album of all time, you have to recognise that this is your favourite album's favourite album. Blackout inspired brat, so obviously it's Blackout.

Done ❤️ Can you guys also edit/delete my comments in your replies to me? @abra @JEWRJEWR This genuinely was a huge misunderstanding. As a smaller (somewhat-independent) solo artist (who loves to see what her fans are saying) I wouldn't be surprised if she checks ATRL to see what we're saying… Could you guys (also) please edit & delete your replies to me? I genuinely don't want her to see this, and I don't want to trigger her/upset her.
