I really don't get why Katy is the only getting **** for working with Dr. Luke and not every single other musician that has worked with him or is working with him currently...

Second, what sets Katy apart from others currently working with him is that:

1. She is a pop star and not a rapper or hip-hop artist, which is a genre Luke transitioned into to soften the backlash and be more welcomed as a producer because he knows his name is still tainted in pop.
2. She is a household name without contractual ties to Luke who can work with anyone she wants.
3. She worked with him before Kesha filed her lawsuit, then ditched him for two albums for PR reasons and now came back to him.
4. She knows Kesha better and has known her for a longer time than probably any other artist in the music industry.
5. She was literally a witness of Dr. Luke's lawsuit against Kesha.

6. the song is an empowering song about women which is at the very least really tone deaf considering it's produced by Dr Luke

why are all these Kesha stans not streaming her music? like leave katy tf alone? katy already suffered enough social media harrassment during the Witness and Smile era... so i empathize with her if she doesn't give a **** anymore..if she's destined to flop she will.. we really can't do anything about it. 

when was the last time tik tok had more than 1 million streams on Spotify? go stream that losers

A lot of them don't care about Kesha lbr, they're using the case as an excuse to drag Katy.

People can show love and support for Kesha and bash Katy for being desperate trash.

 

They're not completely contradictory things to do, like, for example, working on a female empowerment song with a rapist.

 

I'm trying to understand her mind to see what might lead her to this decision. Not trying to defend her or anything, but is it possible that being friends with dr Luke, she feels compelled to believe his side of the story?

Why is he not in jail if proven guilty? Sorry for my ignorance on the case, but i never really paid attention.

He is not in jail because Kesha never filed a criminal lawsuit since her primary goal was to be free from Dr. Luke contractually and creatively instead of being dragged into a decade-long ordeal about whether Dr. Luke is a rapist or not.

It's flattering that you assume everyone who disapproves of Katy's behavior is a Kesha stan, but it's actually not necessary to be a Kesha stan to recognize Katy's behavior is wrong.

Does it really matter which site posted this? Are any of you really having a hard time believing she was warned against working with a literal rapist and abuser? Of course since it's the Daily Mail they're just posting for clicks, but this isn't some far fetched story. 
 

Actually, if no one on her team or label told her this was a bad idea, then they should be fired.
