They both did what they had to do. Madonna was on the verge of creating her best work and Gaga was starting to be well-known as a vocalist and well-liked again. I haven't heard Bedtime Stories and I don't like Joanne. 

 

Come to think about it, I don't like Joanne so much that I'll probably even choose an album I haven't heard over it so Bedtime Stories is my answer.

    I guess Joanne was helped tone down Gaga’s perception at the time and help her land ASIB but overall it feels so out of place in her discography.

    This is a very strange comparison. But Bedtime Stories is excellent and I don't like almost any tracks on Joanne, so easy vote.

    I love Diamond Heart, A-Yo, John Wayne, and Dancin' in Circles but Bedtime Stories clears, EASILY

     

    I mean Human Nature, Bedtime Story, and Take a Bow alone demolish Joanne with ease :giraffe:

    Joanne is a stain on Gaga's discography and should never have been released. Bedtime Stories is excellent.

    Love both but Human Nature washes Aunt alone

    Literally no contest on this one.

    Bedtime Stories is a masterpiece.

    The other is not.

    I personally dont like Bedtime Stories that much. But the singles are great and Survivor is a slay. 

     

    But I love Joanne as messy as it is. Maybe I'd feel differently had I been old enough when Bedtime Stories came out but I personally feel Joanne > Bedtime Stories
