Very underrated. I like it more than Emancipation tbh. OOC, For the Record, Migrate, Side Effects (solo version) and I'm That Chick are some of my fav Mariah songs of all time.

mariah has better albums but yeah For The Record is definitely my favorite off of it.. the references to her past smash hits in the bridge, whew!

Funny that we know what we know in hindsight, but at the time Bye Bye just made sense and really was supposed to smash. It was touted as WBTxOSD and every critic who heard the album pre release named it as a no brainer smash. 
 

The album is great, and I still often listen to:

 Cruise Control

 Touch my Body 

I stay In Love

 Thanks 4 Nothin 

For The Record

 I wish You Well

Side Effects is easily one of her best songs in her discog. 

I don't know if it's in my top five for Mariah, but it's a solid album. A lot of great album cuts (Migrate, Side Effects, I'm That Chick, For the Record) and the singles were mostly fun

Bye Bye ia always my favorite 

Unpopular opinion, but it's better than TEOM. In fact, it's her best album post 2000 after Caution.

 

I Stay In Love is a career highlight.

Migrate would've smashed as 2nd single

Bye Bye is that bish.

 

The way everyone thought it'd be a 19th #1 for her and it ended up peaking at #19... they set her up
