It's always gonna be the consumer's fault. She opens with bigger numbers each time and gets album of the year Grammys every time. What motivation would she have to be creative or make better music when the buying public are eating up her basic offerings?

Breathe, ie her biggest crossover smash. I honestly have only heard This Kiss and Breathe (and WAYC), but growing up in rural Texas I remember that album cover everywhere. We actually got the CD when we visited the country radio station for a boy scouts trip haha.

Y'all, this album is so so so good. I can't remember the last time I could really just follow through an album top to bottom. And the singles should be SMASHING. In another reality Leak It would've been HUGE and Cry Ugly would follow up as a global smash. So many brilliant songs, the girls all flow in and out so well on each track, the music videos/performances/choreography are all incredible, everything works. I'm actually pissed off this isn't a global smash when we have so much mediocrity dominating everywhere.

Love Dawn's ad libs throughout this one over the empty original version. The lyrics to the chorus in this version is what would've made this a HUGE hit. It flopped with the voting 'hey hey hey' they ended up going with.

This comparison isn't really great. One group debuted right in the middle of the transition between sales and streams and they had NO label support. This new group has ALL of the label support and they're behind the biggest machine in the world. This success is expected of them based on how much money is being pumped into them. I also wonder if the success feels natural, like if teenagers in the US really know them and are really paying attention to them. Their movie grossed $4 million first weekend, which doesn't seem like a huge success. Also, Welcome to the Dollhouse was by Danity Kane, another brilliant but messy girl group who turned water into wine with their incredible sales and complete lack of label support. When I tell you those girls would've been HUGE had Bad Boy/Diddy actually cared to push them? It's a miracle they went platinum several times.

I have a funny story to share about this, because apparently these things actually matter and I would've never known otherwise. I was on the apps and I just guesstimated my length (evidently I underestimated). I met up with dude and he was offended, saying it's much bigger than what I stated. I didn't really know how to respond lol, I told him maybe he had me harder than usual? I didn't know what to say. Once intercourse occurred, he was like 'yeah, nuh uh this is 2.5 inches bigger than what you said!'. I had to laugh because it all seemed so absurd yet extremely specific. I literally got the tape measure out and turns out the MF was spot on! To the damn half inch! A hilarious lesson learned. Bottoms can feel that **** to the centimeter!

Considering it's a really close cousin of this, let's go with the original that had just as much impact (if not more). But I'll give it to Sabrina, whoever came up with the melody for the prehook (too bad your ex don't do it for ya...) genius. The song is a perfect pop song through and through.

Dawn always delivers so I know it's gonna be excellent, and Baby Can We had become my most played track this year. Praying that one track she previewed a few months ago is on here as well!Y'all's taste! Because 💯 for both options. A lie don't care who tell it! Girl love yourself better!
