How does Nicki have such a loyal and solid fanbase?

Featured Replies

ATRL loves to trash her for whatever reason, but I think we all can agree one thing very remarkable about Nicki is how she has been able to cultivate, hands down, one of the most loyal and biggest fanbases in recent years: the Barbz.

In an industry, where faceless artist abound nowadays and gays are known for easily switch, how did Nicki manage to build a big and loyal fanbase that keeps supporting her after so many years?

They relate to her songs

Consistently great music, amazing entertainment value, charisma, talent... a new Nicki album always gets me super hyped

Because she’s messy/entertaining. She’s good at her craft but there are equally or even more talented female rappers lbr. What makes Nicki stand out is her OTT personality.

Hyper feminine in music and outside if it while actually being pretty cis girl, femme gays love that ****. Also a lot of bops, messy personality, super interactive with barbz on social media. And she's everywhere, collabing all the time so it doesn't matter that she can't produce good album, you can always find something to listen from her. She found her lane and sticks to it.

This does not make sense? Her latest album almost hit 100k pure sales. Nicki's pure sales is actually among the best among the current female rappers.

Bops, good music, talent, work ethic and interactive towards her fans

:clack:

Barbz is what would become of LM if they never grew up...thankfully they did.

I love Cardi but I grew up with Nicki, like, it's inevitable, for many years she was our main rap girl

she collabed with all of our faves too, so there's that on top of THAT

It really just does come down to her talent. She made herself irreplaceable in a culture obsessed with tossing women aside after a hit or two.

Nicki is by far one of the most entertaining artists of our time, whether you love her or hate her. She's just FUN.

So many iconic quotes, lyrics, outfits and wigs, funny moments, gifs and memes... She's extremely interactive with her fans, constantly showing us love and even lashing us from time to time. It's so easy to laugh with her once you realize she's trolling 90% of the time. :rip:

Not to mention her talent & catalog of rap/pop hits, including collabs with many of our other faves!

no other female rapper has delivered as much competent material for such a long period. none of them have even come close except for Missy, who has 6 albums. Nicki has 3 mixtapes, 5 albums and hundreds (?) of features as well that keep fans fed
