Yes, she could be if she wanted to. However, I don't think she really cares about being the best, and it doesn't seem like she is desperate for it. She takes her time to release things when she wants to.

I think she could, but that takes work and innovation…two things Adele does not seem to want to do.  

Adele has the advantage of not having to rely on the younger audience in order to be successful so I don't think its over for her, however I don't think she will ever match the success of 25 or 21 again. 

She is massively successful lol. 
She will obviously not have a third megasmash era like 21/25 though. 

You don’t have the single biggest peak for an artist in history and not have the ability to smash again if you wanted 

She can absolutely get it. 

She can easily snatch EOM sized hit again. But in album wise she won't have 25 sized era again. probably bit better than 30 era I think

An original Xmas album might do it tbh. And no, switching up her sound won't work. She's not someone who thrives on shock value. That's literally the most anti-brand thing she could do and I doubt it's gonna help her in the long run. Her core audience, which is not the gays, want the sad ballads and the chubbiness back.

Nobody ever will and nobody has since.

Her last era was still massively successful though, it just didn't have crazy longevity

All the songs were duds on 30. Everyone was hyping the Max Martin and Shellback song on here and it was lackluster. I think the catchiest songs on the album were "I drink Wine" and "Oh My God."

 

I think the most experimental songs on the album were the one where she is talking to her son and "Oh My God".

 

She should work with Paul Epworth as a producer again and that ome guy who produced "Someone like You". Her former label was XL Recordings was more known for their electronic music and indie type of artists, I think she needs to bring her old team back together tbh.

She definitely could have another massive song.  There is still a lot of goodwill  and love towards Adele as shown by the response to EOM and her success in Vegas.

 

Her big issue is that she needs to release new music in the next two years , preferably within a year. Taking long breaks between releases is always risky but even more so when the latest album didn't have good longevity . 

 

Taylor releasing every two years until reputation and then releasing frequently after reputation reduced the impact of any song or album that underperformed.

 

Adele waiting so long between 25 and 30 was what really hurt 30 as she hadn't successfully transitioned her fanbase to streaming. And releasing so rarely usually makes a fanbase much more casual and less hardcore.  

 

Of course she also needs to evolve her sound. 

 

Regardless , Adele is still extremely successful as is.

it really irks them that despite so many achievements their fave will never reach the same peak, respect, and organic success Adele had.
