I don't think that comparison makes a lot of sense. Dawn FM underperformed because Abel chose to drop the thing when he was massively overexposed, Save Your Tears and Blinding Lights were still massive and Die For You was blowing up on the charts. Some people said he should have waited a bit longer but I guess he just wanted to tour it and did not care. Houdini is a different situation, it has done very well globally and in the UK, it definitely got off to a slower start in the US but I see it picking up steam again once the holidays end.

I love this. For some reason Houdini sounded like a River + Midnight Sky/Night Crawling hybrid when I first heard it. Miley would actually sound great on it

    Why not save it for when the xmas songs drop and the song will need a bit of a kick / support in like mid January or when its about to peak probably around end of January / begining of February or whatever...like....

    There’s nothing wrong with Miley’s voice, she always has been a great vocalist but this AI cover is terrible and unpolished. Her fans claiming it to be played on Radio is purely delusional considering the station can get sued…:-x

    I loved Miley's AI version of it even tho i didn't enjoy this song lol. I guess it reminded River and it's one of the best pop songs of the year. Miley probably will never do a dance album but she would slay in it
