Are charts broken?
Because older songs started gaining popularity again, investment funds became interested in acquiring artists' catalogs. To everyone who says charts aren't the best way to measure success: what could be better than a ranking of the most popular songs at any given moment?

Spotify | Harry Styles - Aperture | Day 91: 871k (unfiltered)
It appears this illustrious day is set to wrap up with a whopping 5.3-5.4 million unfiltered streams - 60% decay day-to-day. Let's just call it what it is: the undisputed flop of the year Employees of Columbia Records (I know some of you are lurking here): do send your warmest regards to your beloved management, masters of the gilded cage, for so diligently shielding their artists from that pesky thing called reality. Let's be real - you all know that latest Miley album was a spectacular flop. You strangled Kid Laroi's career in its sleep. Rosalia? Sure, the critics swoon, but your CFO not really. And now, as your pièce de résistance, you've greenlit the most agonizingly mediocre five-minute snoozefest from Harry's album as the lead single, paired with a video that looks like it was directed by a confused AI. Bravo. You've officially perfected the art of selling air.

Harry Styles - "Aperture"
It has 11m on Spotify rn, great numbers but not as good as "As it was". I've read somewhere on X it still be #1

YouTube exposes "Golden" as fraud. Over 700M fake streams deleted.
As much as I dislike K-pop bots, this is probably the reason. The YouTube Music counter combines both official content and UGC song views. In some cases, YouTube Content Manager may unlink certain videos; after review, they are moved from the Song UGC category to the non-song UGC category, which can cause rapid changes in total counts.

HDD: Sabrina #1 280-310k
Basically there's no way to manipulate streaming data nowdays*. You can report fraud digital or physical sales but streaming services have many ways to spot fraud streams.
