Olivia Rodrigo vs. Drake?

Featured Replies

We all know Olivia Rodrigo will be releasing her comeback single "Vampire"  - June 30th.

Drake recently announced his new album which will be out soon. Many said he would release his new album ahead of his tour, which was recently pushed back to start next weekend.

Lil Uzi Vert is rumored to be releasing his album on June 30th (nothing confirmed) has he postponed it now because of drake? Very unlikely that both release on the same day.

If Drake releases his album on the same day as Olivia's single, who is more likely to reach #1?

My Opinion: I think Olivia will do better with radio and sales, but is it enough if drake has monster streams?

I think Drake will get around 400-550 points if the album is good so he might win against olivia, just depends how they promote vampire, and if Drake’s ‘lead’ has a feature. I’m rooting for him anyways

Rich Flex got around 400-500 points if I'm not mistaken so it's gonna be an uphill battle for Olivia if she bumps with Drake.

Didnt Drake's last 3 releases miss number 1 without competition already?

Istg this seems like a moment where everyone here thinks Olivia will win

but then end up losing big time :rip:

and I am rooting for Olivia!
Drake has been releasing some rly shitty material lately..

Olivia.

Drake's last single couldn't even beat a Morgan Wallen song that was already #1 for months.

Drake seems to release a new song every week so i would guess Olivia might have the edge.

No, just the last 2 major releases, but Search and Rescue debuted at #2 and Her Loss produced a #2 with Rich Flex (which would have been #1 any other week in 2022). Before that, Drake produced a #1 hit with Honestly Nevermind, in Jimmy Cooks.

Why is everyone so sure Olivia will win everything? Just because she had a massive era with Sour doesn't mean she's gonna be #1 for the rest of her career :rip:

One of those three went #1 and it was not a single at all. Rich Flex could have been #1 any other week of the year.

Because she already has the sales and radio support. Drake’s lead could outstream Vampire, but as long as its sales and airplay are higher, I can’t imagine Vampire not going #1 in its first week.

Rich Flex had the biggest debut of 2022 in terms of chart points.

Search & Rescue was scraps and nobody can seem to beat Morgan so let’s not.

It totally depends if it’s a serious rollout or not. I’m not totally convinced Olivia is going to come out swinging either.

I am leaning towards Olivia but I would not count Drake out. Rich Flex would have been #1 if it wasn't for AH's out of this world sales. Another song (I forgot the title) also went #1. And he will definitely accumulate a lot of points from streaming alone.

I think Olivia will hit no.1 at some point. But Drake is a still streaming monster specially on his first week. So we will have so see..

Hot100

Global 200 (excl. USA)
