What's next for Kesha?

Featured Replies

Her new album barely charted on the BB200. What do you think should be her next move? I'd like her to go the Tori Kelly route and make a gospel album then win some Grammys with it.

  • u know i am not even like a Kesha stan …. just a casual fan who loved her older stuff back in the day … but i must say the way y’all have been dog piling on this woman recently on this site is so weir

  • I hope she keeps serving the best parts of Rainbow and Gag Order combined. While it is obvious she’s done as a commercial “pop girl”, she seems to have a smaller but dedicated fanbase that will still

She needs to go back to dance music.

Her career is pretty much over. She might release a couple more albums every 3/4 years that will make no noise.

She’ll marry eventually and hopefully she will have a happy life, and we’ll never hear from her again.

plus i listened to her new album and it’s low key great. evolved and refined. idk why ppl have to be so mean just cuz her album is under performing bc ppl would rather listen to more braindead pop

idk Gag Order was a cute unpolished and raw album. But I guess her fanbase moved on.

Imagine still caring about Grammys, worms

Drag the majority of the artists then.

y’all kesha has had it rough, do you really wanna drag her? she’s happy so why try and ruin that for her.

She should sign with a major indie label like Sub Pop or XL and release whatever she wants. I guarantee you she will get plenty of support going forth into a new, non-mainstream endeavor.

Some say she’s saving a singer-songwriter folk record for when she is free of her label. Maybe that. :heart2:

Go back to Ke$ha sound-wise, tha’s clearly what we all want.

K bye for now, Sunshine. <3

Kesha's done as a "main pop girl" and probably won't get hits anymore, but who cares? I don't see her going away. She is free now and will sign to a new record label either indie or major and she'll continue to release music for her fans and tour. Her fanbase is smaller, but they are loyal. She'll be fine.

Anyone who sees an artist as being "over" or in the gutter since they're not snatching hits anymore has worms for brains. Not everything is about commercial success. She'll be able to do her own thing and live a comfortable life.

i guess i just meant refined in that she’s trying to focus on her artistry and remove all the excess. i appreciated that about the album ! plus there’s still her back catalogue if people want electro pop bops

Is she done with her contract now? Did Gag Order finish her obligation?

I hope so! Now she can be free to find some other label or just be… indy, I guess? You can tell she still wants to release music, and she’s closer to releasing music she actually wants to. Gag Order and the previous couple have been closer to that, even if they made noise or didn’t.
