kinda the best live performance from a kpop gg of all time. Immaculate from start to finish.

the way they once had 5 main vocalist and 4 main dancers who can also SING.

That’s exactly what I’m saying though. This thing started because someone called Twice talentless, and I said most of kpop would be “talentless” by that logic, and then that user said their reputation is based on “image” more than skills and started talking about vocals. The true definition of talent goes beyond just vocals and that’s what I was implying since the first post.

However, seeing as though this discussion is suddenly now not just about "vocals" despite singing being explicitly and specifically mentioned first, Red Velvet has all areas covered anyway and has no place in a discussion about lack of talent. Period.

The fact that I never mentioned anything about vocals on my post when I first quoted the BTS stan yet they’re trying to make it seem like I did “specifically” and “explicitly”, to push their own narrative.

I’ve decided not to interact with people who are purposefully dense like that user on top of this page lol. Now they’re trying to twist my post to make it look like some RV hate just because they have a victim complex

I agree. Since you spoke about singing explicitly and specifically here, as mentioned in your post, on this topic, there's definitely a trend towards a lack of (or in fact zero) singers in groups these days, especially in the 4th gen.

 

There are some exceptions, but it seems much rarer in this current gen. It is a lot more image focused now, for better or worse.

I'm not a blink, but K-pop groups really do struggle to cover their songs. 

 

That's because their recent choreos suck. Even Blackpink doesn't look good dancing to blackpink songs.

People are always complaining about the aespa comeback delay but we literally got saved from an album with just Red Velvet rejects  Thank you Lee Sooman, Chris Lee, Hybe and Kakao for your services. Now the girls had to record new bsides 

The only aespa song that gagged me from the concert was Thirsty. I'm also good if the rest get scrapped and kakao forces new fresh producers

yeah, Jungkook is capable singer but Hanni, Danielle and Hyein aren’t? and you based that on what exactly, since they didn’t even have real opportunity at showing that?  Rose isn’t capable? you don’t need to like mannerism, but that’s different thing

Stray Kids has Seungmin and Han and they’re both better than anyone in BTS lol even Bang Chan is more talented in the singing department than Jungkook 

 

saying Jihyo and Nayeon are capable singers but erasing BP  being an anti doesn’t mean you need to revise the reality 

 

that list is based on the preference, that’s it

please, not only that

 

you can watch any encore stage of Twice and BP from the recent years and this „vocal talent” discussion is ended, I checked Set Me Free encore after watching Rover performance today and it was a kii to say the least - other than that there’s not really a lot of material to check Twice’s capabilities lol

The only thing Lisa needs to wash are those tired bangs. Those nursery-rhyme raps aren’t clearing anyone; and to top that off by saying she’s a better dancer than Seulgi?

 

i don't know. maybe i'm just a new kpop stan but the talent discussion seems....

exaggerated. 

 

like there have been some embarrassing performances and i do think the lack 

of input does hinder the artist but i don't think a lot of the idols talked about are

as untalented as we think....definitiely not the most talented but some of y'all 

drag it out a bit.  

 

its like some of y'all treat your personal preference as fact but that sentiment trascends

discussions on talent.
